  1. Our I-130 has finally been approved while my wife (the beneficiary) is visiting me in the US on the ESTA. She'll be staying until December. We are currently filling out the DS-260 form while we're together. For the previous US visits section, should we include the visit she is currently on? And for duration of stay, should we put the planned duration or the total duration when she will leave?
  2. The consulate we're applying to said 2-3 months so I'm assuming they're more up to date.
  3. My wife and I are currently submitting all of our documents to the NVC for initial review. Unfortunately we've learned that the Japanese police certificate we need will take 2-3 months to get through a consulate (she no longer lives in Japan). Would it make sense to submit everything else ASAP and then hope we get a short review time on the inevitable request for evidence? I figure there's no harm in doing so and after waiting so long we just want to be finished with this as soon as we can.
  4. I finally got my NOA2 approval after 428 days of waiting! I was just wondering if anyone could provide some info on getting the NVC case number. How long has it been taking recently? And do they just email you with the case number and instructions?
  5. No, I haven't. What's the best way to actually reach USCIS regarding that? It seems like it's impossible to get any kind of response from them.
  6. I'm a July 2021 filer (petitioner) and am still waiting for NOA2. My case status has been on "actively being reviewed" since November 29th, 2021. I guess USCIS has a different definition of "active." At this point I'm getting increasingly worried that my file has been forgotten or lost or something. Is there any way to inquire about my case more accurately? I have to wait until October 14th to be outside normal processing time. Thanks.
  7. Our I-130 has been awaiting approval for about a year now but my wife (UK citizen) will soon be moving to a new address. She will be moving from Japan back to the UK. Do we need to do anything to update her address with USCIS? Or can we simply wait until the NVC stage since we're still awaiting approval?
