  1. Yes, you need to open it up to get your passport with the visa inside. There is no visa package, it's all electronic now.
  2. Hi there, Not who you asked, but I interviewed on Thursday the 5th and received my passport yesterday (I'm in southern ON). Tracking number came Friday the 6th. I had signed up for courier service previous to the interview, I did nothing after the interview. I received two emails with the tracking number, one from Purolator and one from U.S. DoS Visa system (donotreply@usvisa-info.com)
  3. Sure did! DQ August 29th, interview January 5th as well!
  4. Echoing this statement. I'm currently in the spousal visa process and it has had no effect on my crossings/visiting other than letting the CO know where I'm at in the process if asked. I visit 2-3 times a month and usually stay for the weekend (border city).
  5. October interview letters came out on the 20th or so and covered DQ dates from end of July to approximately August 17th. I know this from a group chat I'm in where people got their interview letters. @ksadams would be the only person on the spreadsheet who would have fallen in that round. August 29th DQ for me - hoping we both get ILs this month!
  6. Congrats! Montreal sent out interview letters this week that covered DQ dates from end of July through August 17th for interviews in December. So Interview letters are taking 2-3 months to get with the interview being 6-8 weeks later.
  7. I know of someone with August 17th DQ date that got their interview letter this week. Looks like you just missed the cut off. Next month for us! (I'm August 29th).
  8. ah okay, glad the timeline makes more sense. We reached NVC in March 2022, submitted DS-260 & all documents in April, and after one FE were DQ'd at the end of August. If you get DQ'd soon, we are likely to receive letters for Montreal at the same time for interview in January based on current timelines. Going to link the Montreal thread for you which has great information and a spreadsheet (available on desktop only) so you can follow other Canadians in the process. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LvnDvX95_tfWtTvsJJM49PDPPvPKal0WG2rgdZHhsz0/edit#gid=255923754
  9. You won't be in line waiting for an interview until you are documentarily qualified. Montreal has scheduled interviews for those DQ'd through most of July 2022. Since you submitted DS-260 a year ago, I assume you waited on submitting civil documents to purposefully delay immigration. If you got an FE for divorce certificate 2 months ago, then it would appear that (barring any previous FE's) you submitted civil documents for review in June of this year. NVC is currently reviewing documents submitted August 15th 2022 - so if the resubmission of the divorce certificate was around that date you will be close to being reviewed again, and then hopefully DQ'd and put in line for interview. Ensure that the documents have been submitted and not just uploaded!
  10. Update: We just got DQ'd. They accepted the same police clearance they rejected last time. Pretty sure we just had bad luck the first time around.
  11. We just got DQ'd!! Email came in at 7:30pm EST. Resubmitted police certificate June 22nd. (Added additional documents July 16th)
  12. Update. Got a response from NVC. Generic as hell, I don’t even think they read the message. “Dear Sir/Madam: The documents you submitted will be reviewed soon. We will let you know whether we complete your case or if we need more information. Current processing times are posted on our website at https://nvc.state.gov/timeframes (English) or https://nvc.state.gov/plazos (Spanish). If you need to correct or re-submit a document, we will send you an email stating that you have a message in your Consular Electronic Applicant Center (CEAC) account. Return to https://ceac.state.gov/iv and click on the View Messages button to read our comments and instructions. To see whether documents are missing or need to be deleted and re-submitted, you should open these tabs: · Civil Documents · Affidavit of Support Documents and Financial Evidence You can also check the status of the items you submitted and your case in general in your CEAC account.“ Thanks for absolutely nothing. If my police certificate gets rejected again what are we supposed to do? This is so frustrating.
  13. Just saw this! We resubmitted June 22nd. I think you were a couple days after us. We also sent an inquiry June 25th as well, so hoping to hear back from NVC this week - I'm not holding my breath for much, I'm expecting some generic response at this point.
  14. As far as I know, yes it’s necessary. The only source I used was the NVC document page found here which details what you need: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Canada.html
  15. Hi, i’m not sure how to obtain it from the US. I went to my local commissionaires office and got fingerprinted & processed it there. Sorry. Perhaps call them and ask about your options?
  16. Sure thing. I cut off the bottom here but did upload the document in its entirety.
  17. I submitted the second one and it was rejected by NVC in June. "Incorrect issuing authority" was the note. Everyone I asked confirmed I had the right one so we resubmitted the same one and are waiting to hear back from NVC again.
  18. Police certificates are valid for two years according to this website. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-5-collect-financial-evidence-and-other-supporting-documents/step-7-collect-civil-documents.html "Important: Police certificates expire after two years, unless the certificate was issued from your country of previous residence and you have not returned there since the police certificate was issued."
  19. I'm thinking this might be the date for responding to inquiries. That section wasn't updated, and last week was May 24th, so May 30th seems reasonable.
  20. The "part IV, the big IR1/CR1 DQ'd message group" thread maintains the following spreadsheet, go to tab 2022 for the latest updates. Some late May DQ's got interviews today, July 25th for September. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LvnDvX95_tfWtTvsJJM49PDPPvPKal0WG2rgdZHhsz0/edit#gid=255923754
  21. Yeah, I sent an inquiry. It’s only about 3 weeks faster than waiting for them to review again so I’m not exactly holding my breath it’ll help.
  22. Adding myself here, since I had to resubmit police certificate June 22nd. @ClemsonC I hope you end up being an outlier and get through your NVC stage as quickly as possible ❤️
  23. Hi all! I re-uploaded & submitted my police certificate in CEAC and added a note/comment with it. However I just noticed that the submission date isn't June 22nd, the day I replaced the document. It's shows April 8th, which is the date I originally uploaded the first time. Is this normal?
  24. Unfortunately I do think that's the case, the police certificate name matches my passport and DS-260 (I did put the maiden name under other names in DS-260 as per the instructions). I've re-uploaded the same document with a comment to restart the NVC clock. I did go back to the commissionaires office yesterday and ordered another one in my maiden name and will upload it to additional documents once it comes in just to cover all my bases. I do appreciate all the quick responses & advice!
