  1. Hello everyone,

Does anybody know what happens if NVC sends a case to the wrong embassy?

Is there any way to change that? When we filled out the I-129F I was living in Spain BUT as my mailing address and embassy we gave them my Chilean address. By accident today we found out that our case was about to be sent to Spain. The officer on the phone told us she'll request a change of address to her supervisor.

    Any insights?

    TIA...

  2. Hi everyone. Maybe someone has a better idea of what going on with USCIS and can help me to understand better.

Our case was approved on September 13th but we got our Notification letter yesterday. That's OK. But, I just checked on my "case status" again and now it says that our case was approved October 8!! 🤨😫 I don't know what to expect anymore.  So now we need to wait for another month to hear news from NVC?? We've been already waiting for a month today from our first notification. So confusing 😕

    Any insights? TIA

I’m so excited  for all of you!! 😊

I can’t describe how thrilled I was when we got ours. I couldn’t sit still for like and hour!!
it was October 13th at 06.15 am California time!!! I couldn’t believe it. I live in Spain so I use to start up my day checking on the uscis even when they didn’t even start working 😆 and that Monday I looked around 2.00pm my time and nothing. Almost an hour later I saw the notification was there!

It’s a mystery how it works, right?! 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s been a week since we got it and now we are praying to get the welcome letter ASAP.

    cheers!!!

    September 13th* sorry 😝

I just wanted to state that I am giving you a link to my Google Drive, where I pull the entire Data or CSV files of the CaseTracker

    App for the month February.

It is for people which are interested in doing a spreadsheet or cooperate together, which is a good option. Due the

limitation of the CaseTracker App of only being able to pull 500 Cases every time, makes it to a total time of over an hour

to achieve an entire month. Thats one of the reason I wanted to participate in the entire process, because it saves a lot of time for the person

which is doing the actual spreadsheet or refreshes it once a week or similar.

I thought of pulling the data every third day, but it is so time consuming that I am doing it every 5th day, unless somebody else wants to

    participate.

    ---------------

I also found out that the cases we (February) are looking for starts with the Case Range

WAC 21900-50000 and ends up with around ....-57500.

That means that in total 7500 cases are going to be processed within February, independent of the K1.

In case somebody is a February filler and is outside the CaseRange should definitely write something to be a part of the spreadsheet :).

I wish I could help but I'm awful with numbers 😕. My fiance is the "clever one" in this relationship 😅😉

    Thanks for all your help!

    I see.

Here in Canada, one would get fingerprints for a police certificate from a notary public/ commissioner of oaths. I did this when applying for police certificates for Singapore (similar process to what it is for UAE, apply online and send fingerprints taken by an authorised party).

Try finding one in your country (notaria?)

Another option - have you tried asking the US embassy? Here they would refuse, but not sure in Chile if you are having difficulty everywhere else.

That's another good option.  It doesn't hurt to try, right? I'll see if they can give me more information regarding to this issue over the phone. Thx!

    1) DoS website says that Police certificates are only available should you be physically present in UAE. Are you able to travel there to get the police certificate? It appears there is no exemption from producing it.

    2) Regardless of what DoS website says (Not sure why there is this discrepancy), I know several people here in Canada who have obtained police clearances from UAE online, apparently through a very simple process. I can find out more should you be interested, but the info May only be relevant to those living in Canada.

    3) Havé you tried calling NVC to confirm whether or not the submission of UAE police clearance is mandatory for you?

Yea, the process is not that complicated if I could get my fingerprints done but in Chile I can't.  I'll try the third option. Thank you!!

Have you tried this - https://u.ae/en/information-and-services/justice-safety-and-the-law/police-clearance-certificate

Looks like it can be obtained remotely rather easily...

For fingerprints, it sounds like you need to go to an official commissioner of oaths or some such organisation authorised to conduct fingerprinting. I know several such organisations in Canada (my country of residence). A Google search should help you find one in Chile.

Yea, I'm aware it can be requested remotely but as I mentioned in my post there is no way I can get my fingertips done in Chile.:( thanks for the link though.

    Hi everyone,

Anyone here having trouble on getting their police clearance from a country different than the one you're currently residing?

I've done everything in my power to get this certificate from the UAE (Dubai) but none of the police sections in Chile can help me with the fingerprint requirements neither the civil registration department. I've talked several times with the UAE Embassy in Chile and they have no idea how to help me. Actually,  I'm more informed on this procedure than they are.

Could this be an issue the day of my interview? The one problem I have in Dubai was leaving a small credit card unpaid. For them is a serious matter, even more than it is in other countries  but not sure if for the US visa department is. I'd appreciate any comments regarding this topic.

    Good luck to all.
