  1. Thanks everyone for the replies. Did anyone change your signature when you sent documents to change status from a k1 visa to a green card? how the surname and name signed form I 485 or came up with a squiggle?
  2. Thank you. What I have do with my Ukrainian documents? Passport, diplomas, driver's license, do I need to inform the Ukrainian consulate about changing my surname?
  3. Good afternoon, I need advice from those who have already gone through the procedure for submitting documents after the wedding. Tell me what to do after filling out form I 485, where it is indicated that I take my husband's surname? Is this form to be sent further to uscis or do I need to tell somewhere else what to do with my valid Ukrainian documents? P.S. I came to America on a K1 visa Thank you
  4. Hi, I received just a CD with chest x-ray. I don’t remember about vaccinations, we agreed that I would get the vaccines after the wedding, when I was already in the United States. They sent other medical results and all the documents of our case in a yellow package along with my passport. This yellow package was opened by a customs officer at the US airport. He didn’t ask me any questions and any questions about CD with chest x-ray.
  5. I got a visa. The interview went well. For start need to enter the embassy through security. Next, will need to give the passport at the window 19, 20 or 21 and wait to be invited. Then give the secretary all the necessary documents (a letter stating that you plan to get married within 90 days, evidence of your meetings and something else, I don’t remember). Then wait for the consul to invite for an interview. When I was interviewed, there were three consuls, two women and a man. The women were welcoming and friendly, the man was very strict. I was lucky, I got to the woman. I sweared an oath and be fingerprinted. Then I was asked the following questions: - When did I meet my fiancé? - How did we meet? -How and where do we plan to hold our wedding? -When and how did we understand that we wanted to be together in order to apply for a K1 visa? When was the last time I saw my fiancé. And the most important thing!!! The deadline for completing our interview was April 12. And since I passed on April 28, the secretary demanded a second letter from my fiancé that he agrees to marry within 90 days. It's good that my fiancé was waiting for me near the embassy and I was allowed to go out and that he wrote this letter right away. Therefore, pay attention, maybe you also need to prepare such a letter in advance. Good luck with the interview.
  6. My advice is to list all jobs. In the form DS 160, which you will fill out in the future, you will also need to indicate your last 2 places of work.
