  1. 1. How long did it take between NOA2 approval and NVC creating case number? Check my timeline. 2. How long did it take between NVC creating case number and embassy notifying you that they have received the case from NVC? They never notified me until it was shipped out. Unless you contact them and ask, you won't know. 3. How did the embassy communicate to you that they have received your case, was it via email or mail and was the notification send to the petitioner or the beneficiary since Form 1-129F only asked for the petitioners email address? Email. Only I, the petitioner ever received emails, which I then forwarded to my fiance if necessary. 4. When in the process did you apply for the DS-160? I applied as soon as I got my case number. 5. How long did you have to wait to schedule an interview with the embassy from the time the embassy received your case? The rules around that are embassy specific, but I was able to schedule when I got my case number and my case status was ready. 6. How far out was the interview date from when the embassy received your case? Check my timeline. 7. On the NOA2 Approval letter that was sent from the USCIS, it says there is a 4 month "Approval Notice Valid" period. What does this mean and do you have to take any action if approaching this deadline? Nope. They can extend it at/after the interview if needed.
  2. The requirements are different at each embassy. Our embassy doesn't send out a packet 3, it's just available online. We were able to schedule a medical and interview right as the status was ready. 🤷‍♂️
  3. I used the trick on page 6 to get my tracking info. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nfin98c33IEpB0T0FlURERriblYmlm5O/view
  4. I don't believe this is accurate. NVC tells you when they ship your case to the embassy. I tracked my case through DHL and my case was updated to "Ready" status the day of the physical delivery.
  5. I just got my case number today! 🥳 I want to offer some advice to everyone here still waiting, even if it may already be know. My NOA2 was Aug 30th, so most here are likely before me. If you're still waiting on your case number, DO NOT DELAY. Contact your local Congress person. I did on Oct 27th and even though my case wasn't ready yet, they did provide a response and my receive date in a matter of days. I submitted an inquiry directly to NVC myself on Oct 25th and according to their estimates I shouldn't have received a response yet, but today I received my case number from them! I honestly think they reply sooner when your case is complete because I've heard of others receiving responses much faster then the posted timeframes. Take all avenues and stay on top. I wish everyone the best and hope all August NOA2s get their case numbers soon!
  6. Did you receive it through an email welcome letter, or from contacting them yourself some other way?
  7. Obviously it's possible through the public inquiry form, but that takes nearly 2 months for a reply. Has anyone had success obtaining their case number faster than that through direct emails? If so, exactly how? The only emails I know of are: nvcresearch@state.gov nvcinquiry@state.gov asknvc@state.gov I've heard of others obtaining it through the asknvc@state.gov, but when I send a direct email it just gives back an auto reply saying to submit through the inquiry form.
  8. Hello Rami, I've been following your timeline as you're a little ahead of me. I noticed you said you're waiting for your invoice ID. According too the discussions here, K1 visa does not receive an invoice ID as it's processed as non-immigrant. So you should be able to fill out DS-160 and schedule the interview at this point.

Interesting because there are K1 visa recipients that say thay received an invoice ID. Ok, no problem. We will complete the DS-160 this week 🎉👏🏾 Thank you

  9. If my email address is still the same and has not changed, do I still need to send a request to update my email like the pdf suggest? Will they update me through the process with the email I used with USCIS? (Even though I never received a single email from USCIS through the whole process 😑)
  10. I was one of the 4 approvals yesterday from group 100500! I've been lurking this thread for the past month. Thanks for all the updates Optimist! To everyone else, stay patient. Your time will come very soon!
