  1. Patrick,

Don't even think of doing that! We all have been waiting (some for longer and some for shorter) and its painful for all of us regardless of the length of waiting. If you quit, you will be accepting defeat, which we all will feel (at least I know I will). We are already stressed out souls and need to stick through this as a group.

Plan something completly indulgent.... so indulgent that you would have not done it under normal circumstances. I am planning the most outrageous honeymoon.... far beyond my means.

Other things: Write to your senator/lou dobbs at CNN etc.

Have her apply for a tourist visa and chance it.

You just CANNOT quit! We are all here to support you.

And finally repeat to yourself, "This too shall pass."

THANK YOU. I WOULD RATHER TAKE TIME OFF FOR WHEN SHE GETS HERE. I JUST MISS HER. ITS ONLY BEEN 2 MONTHS SINCE I LEFT HER LAST. SHE COULD STILL BE HERE IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS. BUT THE WEEKS JUST KEEP TICKING BYE.

Patrick, you won't have to quit your job, she'll be there by then!!!!! :D:yes::thumbs:

IM SURE YOUR RIGHT. IM JUST REALLY STRESSING LATELY. JUST WANT TO START LIVING AGAIN. MY EMPLOYER WILL TAKE ME BACK IF I LEAVE. I JUST DONT WANT TO LEAVE HIM BECAUSE IM HIS ONLY A TECH. HE ALREADY GAVE ME 4 WEEKS PAID LEAVE THIS YEAR.

    Patrick,

I wouldn't leave like that. You need to be able to prove to the Government that you can support her if you ever want her to come live here. I understand the frustration and hopelessness you feel. I also get very upset when I consider how we get treated by our Government in this process while other visa types get priority over ours. All we can do is what many in this thread have done and that is write elected officials and media outlets...other than that, we wait until they get around to us. Good luck that it will be sooner, rather than later.

YES, YOUR RIGHT. I NEED A LETTER FROM MY EMPLOYER. THATS THE THOUGHT THAT WAKES ME UP TO THE REALIZATION THAT I CANT BE WITH THE ONLY PERSON THAT EVER MADE ME HAPPY. I WAITED TO BE WITH HER FOR OVER A YEAR ALREADY. I GUESS I CAN MAKE IT SOMEHOW. I HOPE EVERYONE GETS THEIR APPROVALS BEFORE THE END OF THE MONTH.

  3. OMG!!!! Two weeks???? Only because one of them is Cuban!!!??????? What's the deal with cubans????? Good for them but I mean, someone has to change the waiting rules then!!! It's not fair at all for some of us who have been waiting 5 or over 5 months, even 6 months. It should be equal for everyone!

I really gave up thinking about the way the work over there.....!!!! :bonk:

I AGREE.GOOD FOR THEM. NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS. I GUESS IM SPENDING CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEARS IN BULGARIA.

Well be thankful you are able to. I know I don't get that chance due to work obligations.

ITS NOT THAT EASY FOR ME. I MAY HAVE TO QUIT MY JOB TO DO THIS. IF I DONT HEAR SOMETHING FROM USCIS I WILL HAVE TO.

  5. Alright, I just called my lawyer and I'm kinda scared about contacting Pat's congressman. I told him that some friends had recommended me to contact Pat's congressman if we don't hear anything from USCIS by the 6 months timeframe.....and he said that it could work or it could delay things more cause USCIS doesn't like when applicants get congressman involved with this, he said he wouldn't do that. So I was very pissed off and just wanted to get off the phone cause we payed him for nothing.....anyways, I asked him very straight, what do you recommend us? He said, Wait for the notice and don't send any letters.

The @sshole said that in case USCIS exceed the 6 months, they will let us know and I asked if he has any idea for how long more could that be in case it happens...and you know what he said!?!!? I don't know, I'm not the government, it's up to USCIS.....

    MOFO!

Now, I don't know what to do......I only hope I get my NOA2 ASAP!!!!!

    sounds like my useless lawyer
