Just finish my Biometrics appt and I am pissed off bcoz t their system can't recognized my fingerprints. Need to go back to ASC after I received my next appt.
-
FINALLY I got my BIOMETRICS LETTER for AUGUST 20 Appointment.
-
Hmm, I asked for a case number when we called ....none available. I wonder if I should call again?
Yup called them again and again till you get what you needed. That happens to me. I got different answers in every phone call I made.
-
Thanks Moimoi.. we called and put in a service request. Now wait for 45 days
I forgot to ask for the CRI89 number, I'm just reading the threads that I should have asked for IO to get the CRI89 number.
No problem Called them again to get your CR-I89 so that you could track your case online.
This thread is helpful ... i got all the information i needed.
-
TRUST ME you will be fine ... YES ... its basically all the information about the I-751 ....
-
In addition for ur listed information the officer asked for my parents name .... there's no question answerable by yes or no ... I just don't know with others.
-
Yes that's the number to call about the Biometrics appointment ... if you place a service request they will notify csc about it and yes the applicant should be present if you are going to call them ..... u can do the inquiry but they still want to talk to the applicant to verify some data before giving you any information.
-
I don't understand why the "May Filer's' has the highest screwed up rate. Hope they will address the issue soon.
-
Yes she did ask all my information including my parents name ......but she dont give me a reference number .... what's good is she explained to me why my case is pending .. she said there is no available appointment date on the ASC where i will have my photo and fingerprints .... waaaaaaa i will call them backkkk to pursue that service request
after another call ... i successfully filed the service request .. the officer gave me a reference number ...
-
I know the feeling. If they did do a service request, she would have taken all your information and given you a reference number for the service request. If it's been more than 30 days since they received your package and you don't have your biometrics appointment, they do consider it missing and gives you the right to put in a service request.
When you file the service request, you'll hear back from CSC within a couple of weeks as to when your biometrics are, or they will tell you why there is a delay.

Heheh, see - every phone person handles things differently. I'm glad to hear that you got the number this time. Did they put in a service request for the missing bio, too?
hahahah awww that im not sure if the officer did my service request ...
i was so elated to get my CASE NUMBER and forget to follow up my service request ....
BUT what she did told me is i am not missing my biometrics appointment and the
case is still pending ....
you think i have to call them back to pursue the service request?
thank you ... thank you for all the help

Moimoi,
Calling them three times, you'll get three different answers. It's the "misinformation line", after all. Yes, they CAN put in a service request if you have not received your biometrics appointment within 30 days of your NOA1 date. Just call back, tell them that, and you'll get another officer or agent to do it.
Plus, your case number does exist even BEFORE a bio appointment is given. I got my case number without a bio having been scheduled.
I posted the email address for CSC a few pages back in this thread, so you can look it up. However, 30 days must have passed since your call.
JustMeNow,
Thanks you so much for telling me to call them back again and again ... FINALLY after two calls I GOT MY CASE NUMBER .....
Its still pending ....... but at least i could track my case online
-
Thanks for the reply. It was a great help. Will surely call them tomorrow.
Thanks for adding me on the MAY Filer's List ..... Got the chance to talk to a USCIS Officer regarding my CR I-89 receipt number. What she told me is, its not possible to get a service request right now because the USCIS needs to give me appointment date for the biometrics before they issue a receipt number for my case ...... she said it takes 6 months now to process the I-751 so what i can do is jusr wait for that BIOMETRICS letter ... as of now the Application Support Center where ill be having my biometrics is packed.
Does anyone know the E-MAIL ADDRESS of CSC where in i could inquire my CASE NUMBER?
-
Your NOA1 extends your status for a year. The actual (trackable) case number will be on your biometrics letter. You'll have to call them back and ask them to open a service request for the missing biometrics letter. If they don't, call back and someone else will do it ;-) Both 1st level agents and 2nd level officers on the phone can open a service request for you.
Thanks for the reply. It was a great help. Will surely call them tomorrow.

I am also a MAY filer .... received my NOA1 dated May 13 ........ im trying to add the receipt number to my portpolio on Case Status tool of USCIS website BUT the system said
"Your case cannot be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance,
please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283." I tried calling them but i wasnt able talk to an immigration officer ... i dunno what to do
its been two months since i mailed my packet to CSC and all i get is the NOA1. My GC expired this end of the month. Will i'll be in trouble?

You can't apply to remove conditions unless your already divorced or your filing using the VAWA act.
The other spouse usually needs to cooperate if your still legally married otherwise it may be denied.
Sorry.
Not true. There are several grounds for self-petitioning, one of them is that the bonafide marriage terminated in divorce or annulment, however, that is just one.
thanks for that information ... do you know what are the other grounds for self-petitioning?

my friend was abandoned by his us citizen husband ... she got her 2 years green card already and will expire next year 2010 she's currently pregnant with their second baby ... what are her legal rights here in california and can she apply for removal of conditions without his husband?
are there any legal action she can do to file for a case against her husband and his current partner?
Once she is divorced she can file to remove conditions on her own.
what if they are not yet divorce and her husband don't want to cooperate .. can she file it on her own?
