My wife came in on a CR-1 on July 26 this year. The plane landed at 2:10 p.m. and she did not get out untill 4:30 p.m.

My wife recieved her green card and it was sent back due to wrong middle name (maiden middle). Does anyone have a clue as to how long it will take to recieve the new one?

Sandra has arrived here in the U.S., her P.O.E. was O'hare. Nothing exceptional there it just took 2 hours to process through immigration. She said everyone was nice and traveling alone here was not as hard as she thought. Thanks for all the help along the way our jopurney is finaly complete.

Yes that is RFE. You can wait for the mail or do as I did and talk to an operator, they should tell you what you are missing.

Your post is a mirror of what me and my wife have been "discussing" the last month. I flew there twice already and explainesd to her financialy it is impossible for me to come and get her. Of course that did not go over very well. If you can read and speak then anyone can fly alone. My wife realized it was not going to happen and excepted the fact. I will meet her in Chicago on saturday and fly back to St. louis with her. I told the wife the same thing, try and find some Pinays and hang with them.

Sandra just called me and her visa was delivered! I have a flight booked for her on July 26, I will meet her in Chicago and fly with her to St. louis. Our prayers have been answered and we will be with eachother in 10 days.

Sounds like some good deals! I booked a oneway from Manila to St.louis for $993 on July 26. My luck that my wifes visa gets issued during peak travel season. Honestly I would have paid about anything to get her here.

Sandra recieved a text from delbros saying her visa will be delivered in 3-5 days. I hope that means it is on the way because I already bought her plane ticket for July 26! Is anyone flying Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong then United to chicago on July 26?

Congrats, may I ask why after you got your NOA2 it took so long after that?

The NVC lost my I-864, then the case sat in a mail container for 6 weeks. It took the NVC 1 month just to enter 1 document in "the system". Then she had a 2 month wait for medical clearance (sputum test).

My wife Sandra just called me and she was granted a visa! She was given a pink slip and paid the delivery fee. She said the interview was easy, no problems. I'm speachless here we have been through so much our day has finaly come. The lord has taught me patients and faith.

Email is useless as you will get an automated response everytime. Call 7:30 a.m. eastern time and you should get through.

Let me tell you what me and my wife went through. The NVC LOST my I-864, wich they told me I never sent in. This I found out 6 months later! Yep 6 months later. Then my file sat for 6 weeks "lost" in a mail bin. The NVC sent me the wrong outdated instruction sheet that I followed. Wich was wrong! So I sent in the wrong information. Another two months later they finaly tell me I dont have the right documents. I send in the correct documents and it takes them one month just to enter into the system. It takes another month to enter more evidence (2 visa pics). The case was finaly complete in February 28 2007. Guess what? Got delayed on the medical. My wife finaly has an interview tommorow. Thats right July 10 2008 she has an interview and we have been married since January 2007. So learn some patients or you will NEVER get through this process its far from o ver. Good luck to you

I think that was me when I found out the NVC lost my affadavit of support even though they cashed the fee check! The NVC told me 6 months after the fact!!!

congrats! I was on the same flight last November with a 4 hour layover in Taipei. They have free internet, lots of shops, and some big comfy couches with flat screen televisions to watch.

She will have interview on July 8th at 6:30 a.m. This has been such a long process with lots of ups and downs. I originaly petitioned her in February 2007, I hope this is the last hurdle. Please, please say some prayers for her.

My question is probably rather simple to answer, but for the life of me I'm still unclear on the exact process when it comes to the medical at St Lukes. My wifes file will soon leave the NVC and I want to be fully prepared and informed. When we are certain that the case has left the NVC how is the Medical handled? Do we or my wife make the appointment? Or does the USEM automatically schedule a medical appointment after they recieve the file? Can she do the medical now with only the NVC case number as a reference at the medical.....Believe me, I try to figure this stuff out before asking but if you folks would humor me and help me out with this i would very much appreciate it.

The NVC will make an interview appointment for your wife. The medical appointment should be done by your wife before her interview date. She should have her medical done at least 1-2 weeks before interview. Your wife can try calling St. Lukes to see if she can go without her interview letter, but I think it is required. It took my wife about 1 month to get her interview letter in the mail.

I was one click of the mouse away from buying tickets when my wife got her interview date. Thank God I did not! She had medical exam delay (we will know the results July 2). I will wait until she has her visa issued.
