Ryan and I met in 2017 and hit it off instantly. I visited him in England in May of 2017 and we just clicked. In September 2017 he came to the US and got to experience Thanksgiving for the first time before he went back to England at the end of November. Around New Year's we discovered we were expecting a bundle of joy and we couldn't have been happier. He came back to the US in 2018 to help me as I was high risk, and we thankfully welcomed a healthy baby boy to the world in August. When he tried to come back to spend time with our son a border agent decided he had been here too often and voided his esta so he hasn't been able to fully be a part of our son's growing up, sadly. He'll be 3 in August and Ryan has been able to spend less than 2 weeks with him since he was 2 months old. They video regularly but it just isn't the same. We traveled to England to see him in April of this year and that was the first time they'd gotten to hug one another. He and I have been engaged since June 2018 and were overwhelmed with the filing process when we began looking into it, but after this visit we know we can't waste any more time waiting. Soon we'll be filing and hopefully have him home next year, fingers crossed.
