    Hello,

Do you mind sharing with us how did you get your expedite approved? I have tried for my wife's case whos has been waiting on her interview since Sep 2020, and everytime NVC tells me that they contacted Abu Dhabi and they are not to approve the expedite as the embassy says its not fair to the other applicants. I wonder how they justify being fair? Giving priority to everyone EXCEPT U.S Citizen's spouse.

Each case is different and in my case it due to some personal issues. I'm no expert but they only seam to approve extreme cases. It doesn't hurt to keep trying,  have you figured out a way to get UAE residency? That could speed things up. It's a very difficult situation, however I have heard of non residents getting interviews nowadays so that's a good sign that there is movement. I even heard of a case of an Iraqi non resident DQ'd since July 2020 having an interview recently.

  2. My case is currently in Abu Dhabi. It's an Ir1 visa and I have been DQ'd since October of 2020. For Iraqis and non residents the UAE has been pretty slow. Turkey apparently wont let Iraqis get residency with the new visa they began to issue. For that reason I am considering getting residency and switching my case to Amman, Jordan. The question is, is it worth it? What are the timelines looking like and how long have you guys been waiting.

    Thanks

I didn't hear about ban.now we can travel Dubai and Abudhabi . I asked that from a travel agent. Can you give more information about travel ban to UAE

This article came out last year, saying it was a secret move. I'm not sure if this effected our cases or not, that's why I'm trying to get more information on it. Iraq and Iran are both on this list. Is your spouse/fiance living in the UAE right now or out of the country?

  5. Hello, I'm just trying to gather information on how long its been taking people to get an interview letter at Abu Dhabi. That way it will give many of us atleast a vague idea of what we're looking at. I'm also very certain that people from third countries, especially ones listed in the UAEs travel ban that leaked out last year are not able to enter the UAE and are not getting interviews at the moment. Anyway if you can, share your visa class, DQ date, priority date, and date of interview that would be great. I'll got first:

    DQ: October 2020

    Class: IR1

    Priority date: November 2019

    Interview date: nothing yet

My wife lives in Iraq so I'm sure that will effect her getting her interview longer than UAE residents so I figured I'll add that.

My wife is currently in Iraq, so similar situation to you. I've been DQ since October 2020. I heard that Iraqis and Iranians are not getting visas to enter the UAE due to the ban the emerates imposed On us (I think there's 18 or so more countries on that list). However there's no further information on that ban and whenever I ask I don't get a clear answer. I think this could be why we haven't gotten any interviews because I know people who have their case in turkey and it's going fast for them.

RishDan, my fiance just got approved last Sunday October 17th at the US Embassy Abu Dhabi. The Embassy told her that the Empost would give her a call when her visa packet was ready after 2-3 days, but haven't yet. The Post Office said that the Embassy will send her an email with a tracking number, which is different than what was said at the Embassy. Thursday was a holiday, so it has only been processing for 3 days. I need to know, did the Post Office call you or did the Embassy give you a tracking number? We are hoping she will get the visa packet before her flight this coming Wednesday. Thank you in advance for the help.

Sorry for jumping in this unrelated Forum, but we have been following your timeline for a while now.

If you don't mine me asking, how long did it take for you to be scheduled?

    Dear All

Recently NVC announced that they have a backlog of 491,405 (Number of eligible IV applicants still pending the scheduling of an interview)

Can we all share our data as I have noticed many timelines are not updated.

If we get number of people DQed and waiting for an interview to be scheduled, then based on monthly CR1/R1 issuance rate in UAE we can have an idea when the backlog will be cleared

I personally got DQed for CR1 Visa June 1st 2021

    Thanks

My wife has been DQd for an IR1 visa since October 2020. She's residing in Iraq right now so I'm not sure how her case will be as opposed to people already residing in the Emirates.

Hey there!!! I submitted a K1 visa in 2019 to bring my Iraqi fiancé home and we’re still waiting! At first the application was on hold because of the Iraqi embassy. We tried to get it transferred to UAE, but they said no. Qatar wasn’t processing iraq and Turkey is not accepting non nationals right now! We’re so frustrated. We’ve been trying to get him home for years now. No one can answer anything by phone. And using the email inquiry is a joke. And I have yet to find answers or help.

My friend just brought his fiance from Turkey, however I think they changed her residency to Turkey. Might wanna look into that

    Hi!!

I'm the Petitioner and my fiancée from Iraq

I send out I 129f Form on January 21/2021. I got note of received on March 14/2021. And in September 15/2021 I got my case approved from the uscis and it send to NVC..

My issue is that where my fiancée reside no US embassy and all iraqi immigration visa will be forward to one of the three US Embassies in  Turkey or Qatar or United Arabic Emirates.  Everything so far good. 👋

                  US Embassy in Doha

I send email to the US embassy in doha and asked them if they will get my case when NVC send it to them and in couple of days they reply to me ( that in this time we will not Processing visa application to third nationality. We processing only for Qatar citizens and Qatar Permanent resident.

    Okay 👌

I called you US embassy in Ankara and I asked them the same question they told me to see they website you will find all info you need. I visited they website and it say the US embassy in Ankara are processing visa applications only for turkey citizens or permanent residents.

     Okay 😭

I emailed the US embassy in abu dhabi and no answer yet.

Please if any one know which US embassy are correctly processing visa applications for iraqi residents please let me know..

And just want to ask is there any good to contact my state senator or representative??

I am also think about filling law sue against the Embassy that has the case and refused to processing with out reasons. I mean doha or Ankara embassy need to put requirements example third countries residents need to be in the country of interviewing in 20 days before the interview and need to bring Covid-19 negative test before the interview in three days. This requirement will make it hard for third country residents but it better than just keep the case frozen.

Any help of you I will appreciate! Thanks in advance!!!

A friend of mine just got his wife here from turkey, same situation also iraqi. He was waiting since July 2020 for an interview and it was a k1 visa. In the meantime my wife is in Iraq and her case is at abu dhabi and I've been waiting since October 2020 and haven't heard anything yet.
