  1. Hi folks, All the glory to God and i can't thank him enough for all the blessings. I believe my vawa + i-485 journey comes to its end. Got an update on my i485 new card is being produced on July 14. Today my status shows i-485 approved. t's been a long journey, 9 years! Below is my timeline -August 2014 : Applied Asylum (pending til now). - June 2016: i-130 and i-485 sent to USCIS -September 2017: Stroke interview, 2home visits). -January 2020: I filed mandamus. -February 2020: Uscis scheduled another stroke interview and I-485 denied few days later. -April 2020: I-360 and new I-485 sent to uscis. -May 2022: RFE(proof bona fide, residency, shared account, almost everything). I Responded to RFE on August 2022. I gave everthing i had. -January 2023: I-360 Approved and case transferred to new office. - February 2023: RFE for birth certificate follow with medical deficiency letter few days later. -June 20 2023: Lawyer received I-693(medical exam ) RFE from field office(ATL) -June 30 2023: Field office received my response. (I received a notification by email). -July 14 2023: I-485 new card is being produced 2 weeks after they received my rfe response. -July 17 2023: New update i-485 approved. Just waiting for the actual card now. My first lawyer(man) almost ruined my life and he didn't help me at all. Just a big mouth. 😅 Thanks to my current attorney (She) who helped me tremendously. I was surprise to learn my field office is in Atlanta cause i no longer live there. I moved out from ATL 2 years ago and now I'm in Texas. Anyways I'm glad that I was approved without interview. I want to thank you all for sharing your experiences. Special Kudos to all the leaders of this forum. God bless yall and your family. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
  2. Greetings all, My vawa was approved on January 13 2023. My case was transferred to new office on February 20 2023. I received a request for initial evidence on February 22 2023( 2 days after it was transferred) for my I-485. I know the only way to find out is to get the letter and open it. Glad that there is an update and I can't stop rolling scenarios in my head. My question is related to deficiency letter and medicals, what was the message you receive on the portal when you saw the first update? Did you get message <request for initial evidence was sent > or was it another message like we sent a deficiency letter. Something like that not sure. Any response is appreciated. Thank you
  3. Congrats dear, that is indeed an excellent news. Thanks for sharing. Very happy for you. This brings peace of mind.
  4. -My Vawa was approved on 01/13/2023. -EAD C31 received on hands on 01/20/2023 exactly 7days after i360 approval. -I 360 approval letters received 01/24/2023. It took 7days to receive EAD C31 and 11 days to receive all approval letters.
  5. Understood. For sure there are multiple credible sources. But I won't travel now specifically with just vawa approved. That's definitely not a smart move.
  6. Oh yeah I know 2 guys who are US - Citizen now and they sponsored their parents for GC.
  7. Not yet, i just got approved for vawa. I will wait until I get the GC before taking action.
  8. Thank you for clarification @Members990 I understand and it make sense what you say.
  9. I agree with that. It can be revoked. However I have seen many people who had asylum pending and got their greencard via marriage or vawa, went home right after and came back with no issue. One of them told me he just notified asylum office he got a greencard and that's all. I am really confused about what to do with this case when I'll get the GC. Thanks for your response.
  10. I will definitely consult with an attorney again. In my case the people I was afraid of are no longer in power since 2016. US government can verify and there no reason for them to approve asylum if it's no longer a threat.I agree with that. At that time I asked an attorney to remove and he said he sent a withdrawal letter. For me it was done until I consult another lawyer in 2018 and she checked my receipts and told me it was never removed. For her, it has to be removed in court which I didn't know. The first attorney messed me up at all level. I almost reported him. I also went to Germany(not my country of origin) using AP in 2020 and came back with no issue.
  11. Thank you, this approval is for i360 vawa application. the card is probably work authorization C31 category. Next will be either green card interview or approval without interview after medical examination request. thanks for your response.
  12. Hi folks, my status for I-360 has changed Friday 01/13 to my new card is being produced. I believe my vawa is approved. I responded to an RFE 4 months ago. It's been a long journey and God has answered my prayers. Below is my timeline. Have a pending asylum since 2014 and got married in 2015. Submitted i130 and i485 but was denied Mars 2020 because ex wife withdrew the application. With all abuse poof -applied i-360 and i-485 April 2020 -first RFE August 2020 for i-360 -Second RFE June 2022 -Responded to 2nd RFE September 2022 -Got new card mailed Friday 13 2022. Question: Is It a good idea to withdraw my asylum application still pending since 2014? I paid a lawyer years ago to remove but he never did. Haven't attended any asylum interview . Things have changed back home. I Haven't been in my country of origin since 9 years and i would love to go this year. I already have AP approved. I appreciate any answer to this. Lastly, just want to thank all the contributors in this group for sharing their experiences and giving hope to people like me. God bless and ease the process for all.
