  1. Hey there. Your approved petitions should be received by NVC very soon! I called today and they said they received our I-129F yesterday (12/10/07). Ours was approved on 11/15/07. Almost a month for them to receive it, but thank GOD they have!! Hang in there!!!

    This is good news!! :dance::dance:

Our applications were approved on 11/20/07. I hope our applications were with the truck load that was sent. So, probably by end of this week we should have our NVC number. Did NVC give you your case number or email you a confirmation letter?

Hey there! Congrats! Sorry I didn't see this before now. They gave me the case number over the phone. I haven't received an e-mail or mail.

I received a letter from NVC today. It was dated for Dec. 13th and the envelope was postmarked Dec. 13th. . . moving right along!

  3. Hello everyone!

I am writing with an update on our petition. I looked on the USCIS website tonight and found that they sent an RFE for our case. I can't imagine for what because I checked and double checked everything before I sent it, but once I receive it in the mail, I will let you all know what it was for. Just another delay on being with my husband. :crying::crying:

    Deb

    Hey Deb,

So sorry to hear about the RFE. You'll get what they asked for PRONTO, I know! Let's just hope they get back to it as soon as you send the information they are requesting. Hang in there gal!

  4. Congrats to everyone else whose petitions have made it to NVC or the embassy. Wooooo hoooo! Called NVC this afternoon and they received our I-129F petition and generated a case number!!! Yesssssss! Thank YOU, LORD!!!! We are soooo excited. Come on with the interview date!!!

YAYYY...congratulations!!! Well, I also called NVC today but nothing. The person at NVC advised me to call USCIS, so I did (through the RFE Line) and luckily a very nice lady answered the call and she told me that our I-129F was tranferred to NVC on Friday, December 7th.....(and that the case is no longer with USCIS)...yaayyy...so hopefully our I-129F will get there this week.

Thanks! I bet yours was in the same batch as mine. I called NVC on Friday of last week and they had not received mine, but the told me today they received it yesterday. The lady had told me that the mail comes in bulk there so it is very possible that they will put in your information either today or tomorrow! I know it's going to happen very soon for you

  5. hi, guys! what is the best time to call nvc? Because I always get cut off and goes back yo the automated system.

    Hey pechez,

I called at 1:45 p.m. EST on 11/29/07 and the total call took 7 min. I called on 12/3/07 over and over from 12:56 pm EST - 11:51 p.m. EST and there was no operator each time I called. On 12/7/07, I called at 10:11 a.m. EST and the call only took 8 min. I called today (12/11/07) at 4:32 p.m EST and no operator, but called right back at 4:38 p.m. and the call only took 5 min. I hope the information is helpful! Take care.

  6. NVC is open until midnight EST. You are better off calling 11:30PM EST to get through to an operator. You can call early too, 7:30AM. So their hours are pretty good, but hard to reach an operator at peak times (lunch hour, 8-10 AM EST, etc.).

The bit about the truck being loaded before being sent out from CSC to NVC originated from the March filers. They were at the leading edge of the current slow down both at CSC approvals stage and getting to NVC. After seeing Feb filers fly (relative to themselves) through CSC and on to NVC, they were wondering what was taking so long. First with their approvals, then with getting to NVC. Various March filers (LvivLovers, Kalina, neel06 and others) called USCIS and got through to CSC and got various reasons why they were so long to get to NVC. One consistent response they got was the trailer wasn't full and thus there was no shipment to NVC yet. The story went the truck goes to NVC once full, or once a month if not full. So you might have to wait a month for it to go once its on the truck if you get into an empty truck.

Another thing that they heard was the new I130 and I129F pairing (and sending I130 to NRC and I129F to NVC) resulted in a new staging area being set up to handle this activity, and the newness of it all was taking them some time to get used to, up to an additional month before it got on the truck. How true any of these stories are is unknown. They came from the misinformation line after all. As you can see, some of us April/May got to NVC awful quick (could have just been we made it at the tail end of a mostly full truck too  ). But then they slowed again.

Lastly, you can certainly go with your spouse to the interview. I would be careful about helping her answer questions, as in if you cut off her answer to interject, it might look strange to the interviewer as if you have something to hide.

got so busy this past week, and my work hours aren't good to call NVC, I always finish work around 06:00pm or after, but  I have off next Monday, so I will call them to see if my case made it or not.

I still can't believe what USCIS is doing with the case after approval, why don't they send it.

Also I have question to those who said in this forum that the USCIS wait until a track or something get filled then they send the load to NVC.. where did you get this information from?

one more question ...at the time of interview is it ok for me to be with my wife when she goes to the interview? and support her with the answer to the question? have anyone done that?

    Thanks to all

Aren’t you awesomely helpful Urge to Race

Thank you sooooo much man for your thoroughly answer  ,

About NVC hours… waw I didn’t know that I was thinking they have a business hours only. But that’s very good I will sure call them toward Monday morning to see, and if my case haven’t made it I will follow up everyday when I come from work.

About the interview, I was wonder if at all they will allow me to get with her to the window/room she will be interviewed on.

    Hey Win and Urge,

Just an FYI. I called the NVC on Monday of last week over and over again and I kept getting a message that an operator was not available and after twice of saying that, they disconnected the call every time. I called all the way up til midnight. Hopefully you will be able to get through this Monday. On Friday, I called and the entire call took only 8 minutes. The lady (her name was Rose) told me that they do send everything by bulk mail and that it could be 2 - 4 weeks. She told me to try back in 2 weeks. They should receive the petition in 2 -4 weeks, but they have up to 90 days! I'm thinking 2 more weeks. . . 90 days??? It's already been 3 weeks since we were approved. I'm cool though, but dang . . . She was extremely nice so it made it more difficult for me to think about reaching through the phone and well you know . . . LOL Of course you KNOW I would have done nothing more than wring, I mean hug, her neck. Heee heee.

  7. Congrats to the people who have received their approvals!

    Deb,

Please hang in there! So glad you called to see what the heck is going on. Remember, they told me my petitions were on the shelf on Nov 7th and they had never been touched and then lo & behold, approval came on Nov 15th. I expect you will see something from them soon.

    ~Tomeca

    Tomeca,

I am glad also that I called or we would have still been waiting. However, you got a mean person to answer your call. This lady was very kind and helpful and asked questions of me instead of the other way around. She said she would pull our file and place it on an adjudicator's desk since it was out of processing time. So "wait and see". Isn't that what we are always doing????

    Deb

    Deb,

It's great you got a nice lady! I called NVC on Thursday to check to see if they had received our I-129F yet. The lady was extremely polite. The whole call, waiting and all, only lasted about 7 minutes. I couldn't believe it after the lady I talked to at CSC. Yes, waiting is what we do. We should all be pros by now.

    Tomeca

  8. Thanks for setting me straight, Urge. Also, thanks to Wintime for your post. I'm sorry I looked at the wrong name when I replied earlier. I was too sleepy, I think  The way you have explained it is how I thought it was in the first place until I got all confused. Whew! I'm sure you will be hearing a lot more from me as time goes on . . . I really appreciate having a forum like this. I didn't get in on the K-3 May-June Filers Forum until we were almost approved, so I'm just trying to learn all I can now! Have an awesome day.

  9. Thanks Urge. We are going with the K-3. Oh gosh! I'm feeling extremely challenged in the brain department right now. Sorry. I called about the I-129F and that's what she told me. Somebody please school me here. Evidently, I'm even more ignorant about all of this than I thought. When I read the directions for what was going to happen next, it said we would get a bill (two actually). I suppose I have read the wrong thing! I refuse to let this process make me crazy!!! HELP! Please.

  10. Hello everyone. Congrats to everyone for making it this far! Urge, will you please add me to your chart when you update. My info is in my signature. I called the NVC today and they have not received our stuff yet. I'm confused about what is going to happen next. I thought the NVC was going to send a bill to me and to my spouse, one for AOS and one for visa processing. The lady at NVC told me that all they do is enter our information into the computer and forward everything on to the embassy. She said we would receive a bill from the embassy. Is that correct? She gave me the number for the consulate in Lagos so I can call with general questions, but I thought I would ask here first. I'm just trying to get this all straight! Thanks for any information you can provide.

  11. Hi G&A! My letter has the same wording on it as yours about my spouse being in the US. If our spouses WERE in the US with us, would we even be on here talking about all of this????!!!??? You've got to love immigration, yanno?! Anyhow, just something else to let you know how intelligent they are . . . Our local office has those plastic signs that they have paid to have engraved, and they are supposed to be in Spanish. I cannot remember the direct quote for the sign, but the word "su" was supposed to be on the sign and they had the word, "sue". I thought I would wet my pants over that one . . . dang, no habla espanol? LOL Don't mind me . . . it's the nyquil talking tonight . . . I'm good though!

  12. Congrats to all the others who have received their approval letters. I still need my lead boots to hold me to the ground! LOL. They never sent me an e-mail either and they never updated the online info for my I-129F but I could care less at this point. Maybe their not doing that is helping them move a little faster on somebody else's petition . . . like my friend, Deb. Girl, I am expecting you will hear something SOON!!!

  13. Hi. Just an update . . . I just wanted to let you know that I checked on the web regarding our I-130 again today and it says it was approved yesterday, 11/15/07 and letter was sent in the mail!!! It appeared they never touched it. I had called CSC on 11/7/07 and this is what the lady told me, all petitions are split up between different counselors. Some work faster than others. Your petition is still on the shelf. Re: the date posted on the web: “That’s an estimate, not a come hell or high water date. Check back in 30 days.” I asked if there is a preference in countries. She said no. I asked if there is anything we can do to speed up the process. She said no. Check back in 30 days. I contacted my congressman on 11/07/07, 11/08/07, and 11/14/07. I received the privacy form in the mail today to complete and submit to them so they can assist.

My husband and I are praising God for the approval!!!! It's such great news to us after more than 6 months of no news at all.

  14. I am starting a new thread for all those filing I-130's in May and June. I am going to be filing in 1 to 2 weeks.
