  1. Interestingly we had a problem with the Delta agent when my wife was trying to fly to Russia. The agent said that her greencard had expired and she could not use a US permanent address. The greencard had not expired, she just could not read the date. We argued for 5 minutes before I convinced her to have another agent look at the greencard and he agreed that it had not expired.

On the original topic, we made an infopass appointment to get her passport stamped and were told that they do not do that unless the NOA letter has expired and you still do not have a decision on removal of conditions. We explained there could be problems trying to leave Russia with an expired greencard and were told that it is not their problem, their only concern and the purpose of the letter is so you can reenter the US.

This is just me, but I find DELTA is awful.

  2. Hi,

Had to reschedule bio appt, sent request overnighted today (not to a PO box so I can see who signed for it) and sent a copy to CSC of the request per the instructions. It seems that the USCIS Portland office has to be sent the request directly so hoping it makes it faster. Anyone had any experience of how long it takes to get a new appt? What if we don't get a new notice of new appt before original appt date approaches, will that cause any issues? At least we have proof of everything. I am not to worried about the delay since we have the NOA1 allowing my husband to travel and work and the greencard isn't officially expired yet.

    THanks!

  3. Warning, double check ALL information your forms when you receive them. We finally got the BIO letter, but of course the date is one day after my due date, to afraid to risk it so we are going to reschedule. However we first had to change the name because they misspelled my husbands middle name, so we spend 15 minutes changing that with USCIS hopefully we can get a date a little later in the month of August so he won't risk missing his appointment and abandoning the application. Now we have to send the request for change tomorrow and hope my husband is schedule before his trip the end of September. I wish we were just able to call the local bio office and deal with them. Worried now, this stuff is never easy! Hopefully the new bio letter has the correct name this time:).

  4. Hi fellow PDX-er! I received my bio letter a few weeks ago and it's scheduled for next week. I didn't bother to try a walk-in since I have to take time off work for it and it would be a waste to show up and be turned away :P

Crossing our fingers we will get the bio letter soon, I am due in three weeks and hoping it doesn't fall on our due date!

  5. Hello again....I finally sent my I-751 packet few days ago. Then I realized today I forgot to provide the note "Attention: I-751 petition to remove conditions of status" on the outer package under the address of CSC (per ROC guide here in VJ). I have a note though written on top of the cover of my folder of evidences inside that it is for I-751 including my A#. Will this cause delay or at worst my papers will get lost? I'm sorry if I'm being paranoid. I guess the waiting does that to some people :crying: I hope to hear if anybody else has done the same and didn't have trouble with their ROC process. Thank you in advance.

I didn't even think to add that to mine and I got our NOA really fast back from CSC, so no worries!

  6. Did you call USCIS to get the new WAC number? If so did you ask them too about when you should get your bio appointment?

Yes we called USCIS, they directed us to another department and my hubby gave his Alien # and Receipt Number and they provided another WAC*** which allowed us to see the case online. They said that the bio appt notice should come by July 30th, if not, we need to call them again.
