hello...I am so frustrated ...i have been calling on this number(18003755283) to see why i haven't got my green card yet in mail since it's been 6 months since my entry in USA..I entred on CR based visa....can someone please tell me where to go or where to call other than above mentioned number to get help with this issue...I will highely appreciate your kind help..thank you

the other thing is that i had multiple visits to USA after that overstay but never was refused...so i m wondering if they do keep track on Canadian citizen's entry or not!

I need your kind advice on what to bring to the interview; my interview is on april 24:

I have sent all the original civil documents with DS-230 so on my appointment letter package, it says "Yes/Reviewed/Complete" besides all the originals and forms that are needed.

now my question is that what to bring to interview? here is what I have so far,

- Appointment letter

- valid passport

- medical envelop with x-ray envelope

- Xpresspost envelope

- pics of us together, some b-cards, and online msn chat printouts with date and time.

- pics of me 2" by 2"

now, my question is:

We had my husband's father as a co-sponsor since my husband's income was not sufficient. ( note: in appointment package..it says "yes/cpmlete/reviewd" beside the I-864 form) Now for this, do I need to bring anything particular that they might ask to see regarding this financial thing? or may be they will ask for his 2007 tax return? (which he has not filed yet?)..I am so confused!! please help..

hello to all, I have a question regarding the Xpresspost envelop that i need to bring to the interview.

I bought "national" 304 x 394 and I live in Ontario. Is this the right size? should that be "regional"?

also, I went to Dr. Seiden's for my medical and i reecieved the results in big box, I opened it and there was two envelop..one is closed and says not to open it and other one is of x-ray which was open and there was a paper explaining the x-ray result. other thing is there was my vacination record page fillled by the doc who examined me attached to the "do not open" envelope with a paper-clip. what should I do about it? Is this normal? will there be a problem?

hello to all,

here is my medical review at Seiden's office.

i got there in office at 6:53 am and i was the first one there. At the front desk, a lady ask me for the appointment letter and then she directed me to the registeration office where a lady took the vaccination record, passport ID, pictures and the payment which was $ 185 plus the courier service for $20. then she directed me to the X-ray office where an old lady took the X-ray and then I went to the doctor's office for the physical exam and waited for about 5 mins and a nurse came to take my blood pressure and then told me to change into the gown and wait for the doctor. The doctor came in in like 5-10 mins and he asked general questions like major surgery or psychitric condition and all. and went over the vaccination record. then he left and another nurse came in to do the breast exam and it took no longer than 2 mins and she told me to get dressed and go to the nect room to take blood work done and then it is the end of it. i took the bloodwork and then that was it. by the time it was over it was 8:05am ...so all in all it was about an hour long.

Hi Pari,

That generally only happens, from what I have read, where they think there is some hint of immigration fraud. If they think that, they would probably ask your Husband to come in and interview as well. It is probably not an issue at all, I don't think you should be concerned about it. Take him to the interview if you think it will be easier on you, otherwise you will be fine. I can see you are stressing about the whole thing - try to relax a bit, you will do fine.

How long have you been married? Do you have lots of proof of your ongoing relationship? You probably won't need it but it might make you feel more secure at the interview.

I have another question which is that i need to renew my passport or no...it is valid for 7 months from the interview date in April 24. Although i have decided to get new passport, i need to know if canada passport department will ask for marital change and proof of that because i have original sent to NVC. what do i say where is says "marital status" on the passport renew application?

I like to know what exactly they do at the medical exam..i will have mine in Toronro location..don't know which one yet. but if anyone can tell me what exactly they do at that exam (I DID READ ALL THE REVIEWS OF OTHERS).. i just want to know if they even examine the private part too or just breast exam ? (i m kinda ambarassed to as this)...but i need to know...

Also. what do i need to bring with me to medical exam?

I have a question for you.

I have my CR1 interview on April 24 and my canadian passport expired in Nov 26, 2008. now...i know that our passport needs to be at least 6 months valid after the entery to USA after the visa. If all goes well in interview...i m planning to fo to USA in end of may or first week of June. My question is ..do i need to renew my passport or no?

The puzzling thing is..i called NVC today about this issue and the answer i got was "I cannot give you an answer to that you need to contact the passport renewal office for that"...now isn't that weird? it is actually their requirement that it should be 6 month valid after the first entery not the canadian passport pffice..?????!!!!!!! THIS PEOPLE ARE JUST THERE TO CONFUSE US AREN'T THEY?

I called NVC today and found that they have forwarded our file to Montreal on Feb 26. Does this mean that we have been scheduled for an interview or no? Because i called NVC on last Friday and operater told me that i will know the interview date in mid-march and told me to call them back then. Well..please clarify me what this messege means?

I need to know if we need to send in two passport size photos of beneficiery with DS_230? I called NVC today to see why our case was not complete and the operator said that the beneficiery needs to send in two passport size photos to NVC it is a new requirement she said.

Hi Pari,

Yes, there has been some discussion here about that recently. Apparently this is a new - unpublished - requirement from the NVC:

INCLUDE two passport photos of beneficiary for DS230 even if checklist doesn't mention it! NVC has added this new requirement!

Although they will send RFE, I spoke to an operator again and asked if I needed to wait for a letter in order to send two photos in..and she said that u don't need to wait for it u can just send it in...my question is should i send it in or wait for the letter?
