Thanks for the replies. My brother honestly brought his PC from US to PH (direct flight) a few years ago, it was in a box and no one touched it. Maybe we were lucky. Maybe boxes are better since they're harder to open when they're all taped up? I'm just very concerned about the layover. I'm thinking I'll just remove all the important/more expensive parts and put them in my carry on, and then risk the case+motherboard+psu in my check-in since I'll be fine if those get lost 😣

What's everyone's opinion on bringing a desktop PC (and an Oculus quest 2) on check in for EVA airlines MNL>TPE(4.5hr layover)>SFO? My PC is too heavy for carry on so my only option is check in, I'd rather not leave it behind. What are the chances of theft? And how much does the airline reimburse for missing items if it does get stolen/lost? TIA.

NOA2. Right now they’re scheduling interviews for those whose cases were received by Manila consulate in January/February/March of 2020.
Okay thanks for the info. We have more time to plan stuff I guess, and have a better idea when things will happen now. Thanks

There is no welcome letter from NVC for K1 applicants.
Oh I didn't know that. I asked rapidvisa and they told me to just wait for it.

Is that 2 years from filing or 2 years from noa 2?
Thanks for the reply

Hi everyone,
I'm wondering how long receiving the NVC welcome letter takes in the Philippines right now? How long did it take for everyone here? My noa 2 was approved 3 weeks ago, I still haven't received my welcome letter and am unsure how long it'll take. And from there, does anyone know how long it'll take until interview? I'm getting excited and hope it's gonna be just a few more months from here. And which papers should I be preparing right now while waiting for the welcome letter?
Thanks in advance.
Safe to bring Desktop PC in check in bag?

No there's a 7kg weight limit for carry-ons, it's the same for every flight I looked at and the one I ended up getting. There's usually a weight limit bc flight attendants need to be able to lift it up and put it above with no problem
