We've just tried emailing the embassy about 10 weeks after filing and they've said we'll hear back after 12 weeks
-
Same situation as you @Esylvia, it's been about 8 weeks for me but no update so far

Thank you! I'll have another go emailing them and will update here if they respond

In the initial email when they offered an appointment at the embassy for filing the I-130, they said:
Please note: Processing of I-130 petitions could take up to a further twelve weeks to complete once the I-130 has been submitted and approved at the Embassy.
Maybe they meant up to 12 weeks?
Also @saksnoot, who did you email? I've not heard a response to my initial email and it would be good to know if at least my I-130 has been approved. Thanks!

Just replying to say we're in a similar position- we submitted the I-130 at the London Embassy in early April and they said it would be a few weeks before we would hear about the next steps. I also emailed last week with no response.

Thank you so much for the information! It is really helpful!
We will be sure keep an eye out all times of day now, can I ask if they emailed you or phoned you to let you know of the decision? We're frantically checking junk mail and the wife is keeping her phone on her on full volume at all times but were not sure which one we should be watching.
They emailed me, I have not received any phone calls/texts from the embassy

Hi all,
I've contacted the London Immigrant Visa Unit about filing the I-130 directly through embassy due to exceptional circumstances. They have given me an appointment to submit the I-130 petition next week and I wanted to see if anyone had been through a similar process. I've been through the long London DCF thread and it seems that they were previously asking people to mail in the I-130 petition.
For me, they've asked me to bring all of the I-130 stuff as well as our original passports and birth certificates. Are these for verification or will they keep the passports?
Does this also mean that they have accepted my application to file my I-130 locally or will they determine that at the appointment?
Would really appreciate hearing anyone's experiences after they seem to changed the system to in person I-130 filing!
Thanks

We actually got an email around the 13 week mark with our case number. My wife has her medical exam next week. Unfortunately, we will be travelling abroad in August but will hopefully book an interview in September time. It seems that after the 12 week wait, things can move quite quickly!
