  1. It is with utmost joy and happiness that I am writing this note. I am one of those that do enjoy coming to this site to share in the joys, sorrows, agonies and ultimately hapiness of everyones journey. I cannot deny that everybody has a unique and personal experience as regards their journey with the immigration process. I do respect them for that and cannot interject into their own life experiences.

That being said, I cannot call myself a true son of the soil if i keep quiet and see my name and those of so many millions being dragged in the mud. It is believed that all of us are adults and that whatever choices that we make we have to be able to live with them irrespective of the outcome.

So be it known, that before I married my beautiful wife and had our son, I had dated women from different ethnic backgrounds, races and creeds. I came out of those relationships with so much knowledge, both good and bad. It is my belief that I should have learnt from my experiences and be able to use them for my future benefit. I am not going to come out here and start bashing older women, or younger women, or skinny women or plus sized women just because out of my own poor decision-making I found myself in a quagmire.

In summary, I am a Nigerian man and very proud of who I am. It is not all Nigerian men that are scammers. And finally, if you dare get into a serious relationship without proper investigation and information, then dont blame anybody. We have a saying " a he-goat that goes to a fight with his horns, has to make sure that he has a strong and sturdy neck".

  2. My dear Sisters and Brothers,

I know it has been a while since I really logged in to do anything other than peep and sneak around. We are home now the 3 of us together. It has been a very wonderful thing to have my wife and son just by my side. You cant imagine the anticipation and joy I have everyday when I come back from work to see my son running and laughing to give me a hug and a kiss.

We have attended a wedding, a baby showers and other social events together and it has been a blast. I have to confess that I do not get as much sleep as I used to before they came but , hey who cares :whistle: . They are my pride and joy.

We started our AOS journey at the beginning of the month and we already have our biometrics appointment date for the 5th of June. It sure appears that this part of the journey is going to be moving a lot smoother than the last leg.

I just want to wish those still waiting all the best of luck  . Like someone earlier said in one post, when your SO comes over, all the pain and anguish of the past couple of months/years would all but vanish into thin air. On another note, it appears that we might be pregnant....jejejejejeje :dance: . The doctor just told us last week. I am exhuberant, God has been so magnanimous and I cant thank Him enough.

Congratulations  to those that got approved, and for those still waiting, my prayers and thoughts go out to you.

    Nota. Bena

ZEE :star: and Zainab :star: , I am really anticipating and waiting to see you with you SO's. Both of you are awesome.

  3. My computer is broken at home urgh. I couldn't post yesterday and tell ya'll about the interview.

He got the visa, he picks it up on Tuesday. It was a very very difficult interview. He was given the 3rd degree about every other time he has visited the embassy and what he was there for. He was grilled about me, my kids, our kid... etc. I don't have all the details but when I do I'll post them and do the embassy review. The interview lasted over 30 minutes.

    Congratulations

  4. Thanks everybody for the positive energy and joy shared. i am very gratful and cant wait for everyone to experience the same euphoria. We shall be flying back on the 20th, till then I might not be able to log on. Goodluck to interviewees for next week, I will be praying for y'all. God bless

  5. Thanks everybody for the prayers and the positive vibes. It really did mean a lot for me and my family. I pray also that those who are yet to have their interviews would have a smooth sailing journey. I can now begin to breath a sigh of relief after so many months of solitude and uncertainty. God bless everyone

  6. My dearest VJ and Sub-saharan family,

I just want to use this opportunity to thank everybody who in one way or the other helped us through this arduous journey.

Like most of you know, I have a son and a wife who are here with me right now in Nigeria. I did not want to take any chances and decided to make the trip for the interview just incase. We came to the embassy very early like most others in the past have said they did. Those who were for the immigrant visas were attended first before other. I was very optimistic with my confidence in God, but about an hour later, i saw my wife come out of the embassy towards me with the baby in tow. She said the baby was hungry and since i was carring the food, they let her out to go and feed the baby.

Well, the drama began when they had to go back inside, the security idiots there refused to let her go in. Although she had a piece of blue paper. I went ballistic, the unfortunate theing was that I had previously given her my passport so she could show the CO if ever it was needed. Now my passport and other documentations were locked inside and my wife and son were outside. Y'all can imagine the kind of stomach up[set I began to have. I tried to plead and cajole them to reason with us, finally somebody had the brains to realize that she did not come out by herself, without permission.

Now i was really tensed outside, but not later than half an hour later, she emerged from the place with smiles. She had been inter4viewed by an older friendly CO. He took our tax papers, looked at the pictures, asked to see where I was carrying my son, why we had received an RFE( cos I had sent in an affidavit of marriage rather than the certificate). He also wanted to know when i visited last, and my wife was able to provide all the needed information. he told her congratulations and to come back on the 15th and pick up the passports.

Right now, I have booked our flights bakic to LA on the 20th. I am sorry I have not been able to update personally but it was because I had no immediate access to the Internert. I am grateful to Crystal-n-me, my very good friend, I called her husband and told him to relay the news to Crystal. So she can break the news to y'all.

I do believe that my wife also ran into Osakeme's husband, i am just able now to see that she pmed me his number, although I have not been able to get through to him. Thanks to everybody, to ZEE, Zainab, Crystal, Monagoz, One LOve, Chispas,Queeen Jenn, I just cant name everybody, but i am greatly indebted to you all. God has been marvelous.

Now to the journey of life, instead of visajourney. I sure will be around till the twilight of all our journeys.

  7. Aww Chinemeze, I'm so happy for you. I'll be wishing you and your family much success. Please let us know what happened as soon as possible.

I do promise to update everybody with as much details as possible. And thanks for the prayers and good vibes, I sure can feel it already...

  8. Ladies and gentlemen, just wanted to update that I would be flying out of LA tomorrow in anticipation of my family's interview on the 8th. By the grace of God, I think I have gathered all the possible evidence I could and now the rest is in the hands of God to deliver my portion to us. For all others with upcoming interviews, I wish you goodluck and Godbless

Good Luck and give the baby a kiss from us!

Now, don't you forget to get online and update us. We'll be waiting to find out what happens. Hopefully you won't have to do any DNA testing. Fingers crossed!

    Thanks Zainab,

I sure would make sure I let y'all know how everything happened as soon as possible. Given the epileptic nature of the services there, i hope it does not take more than a day or two. Thanks for the prayers and ofcourse hugs and kisses would be given to the baby in all your names. I do appreciate the camaraderie and family oriented nature of this group and hope that God would bless us all with our hearts desires.
