you don't have to be sorry .. it is whatever now.

    Newark, NJ.

Did you try to contact any of them to push the local office to deal with your case? Your local office, senator, congressman, Ombudsman, online inquiry, or the White House. I tried all of them before, and my case was filed in March 2020, after yours.

Your case might be forgotten or set aside somewhere on their table or a certain corner. If you contact them, it might be helpful.

Hope you will hear your interview appointment soon.

    thank you my dude!

    looooong journey almost done,

    your words always useful

I wish you happy in 2022

Thank you bro. I wish you enjoy your ceremony and 2022.

Plus, I am not sure if is a good thing to share with you, as we are all in LA. After spending a long time waiting for the oath ceremony, I went to a library to apply for my passport book and passport card in December. It only took 2 weeks, and then I received them. Others told me the average is 4-6 weeks, but it only took 2 weeks here. Then, I waited one more week, and received my original document. (others told me it needs to take 2 weeks) This is one thing faster here… Lol…. paid $35 expedited fee.

Angelo, Congratulations, the wait is finally over!!!

And guess what, I just received today the notice for my approval too.  Funny that we had the interviews almost the same day back in April 2021 and we were approved on the same day too.

I have been following everyone's progress on this thread too and it has helped me keep my sanity in check.  @Moradesk, you were also a great supporter!

Tears burst out! When we almost abandon the decision, the decision will return to us. That is so magic! Congratulations!😀

2021 was a struggling year, but it was ended. Now we have bright 2022. So happy for you. Congratulations again!❤️😄

  4. I had the same situation as you before. I was recommended for approval on the interview date, and my IO told me I would receive the Oath Ceremony letter within 9-10 days. Unfortunately, I never received this letter. I had been waiting for 5 months, and then the status on the USCIS website was finally updated. I had my oath ceremony there, and I printed and took it to the ceremony because I still did not receive the letter. They just emailed and asked me if I could attend the ceremony someday, and attached my ceremony letter.

I am not sure if there is a government site that can apply this letter, but if this situation happens, I saw others, including myself,  wait for 120 days, and contact them.

    OMG

system of CIS displays Los Angeles County need more 2.5 months to processing

Oh no! That's too bad. It seems it's getting longer time in LA county now.

I met a guy who said he waited for 1.5 years to get the interview since submitting the application in LA county. He asked me how long will be in the oath ceremony after the interview, but I did not want to hurt his feelings.😂

I just feel the procedure is so strange. I read a case that was filed in July 2021, and the guy already completed his oath ceremony a few days ago. Definitely, he is not in LA. But I still cannot believe it!

How do you submit an inquiry to the local office? I guess you have to call them and use the trick "infopass"?  i don't see the option on the new system.

I sent an inquiry to my local office online because my case was outside normal processing time, and I did not receive my case final decision within 120 days after the interview. Here you can find it.

    https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

I then received my SR number from them like the following message (in the old system). Then I went to the new system, in “My account,” I chose “Inbox,” and sent an email to them to ask what the response said from my SR number. Then they responded to me 1-2 weeks.

"On July 23, 2021, your inquiry about why your case is taking longer than our processing time, referral number SRXXXX, was completed."

"On July 23, 2021, we sent a response to your inquiry about why your case is taking longer than our processing time, referral number SRXXXX."

I also sent a physical mail to the local field office to my interview officer. Her name is on the N-652. Someone told me her lawyer sent mails to her field office many times, but I sent a mail by myself because I do not have a lawyer😄.  I did not call or go infopass because I guessed my IO did not want to see me in person or maybe I could not find her. I just sent a physical mail that attached my N-652 to her.

If you look on the old system, you'll see the inquiry and will be able to track it there, and see when it's been processed.

You may get an email or letter in response.

For example, this is what I saw on mine, when this situation happened to me:

    image.png.d06160b1f9d2cb6a563ad733d429a11b.png

I didn't receive any response, the local office just scheduled me for the oath.

    Hi,

Can anyone tell me that uscis sent my inquiry to Brooklyn Field Office so brooklyn field office gonna reply me in online portal or they going to send me mail or how I can contact them I have case inquiry number from uscis .

    Thanks

I also received an updated message from the old system when submitting an inquiry to my local office. They will give you a referral number SRXXXXXX…, but you will not receive any emails or physical mails.

You can email through the new system, and tell them you have an inquiry to your local office and your referral number is SRXXXXXX, but you did not receive responses from them. Then the new system will help you check and reply to the local office’s message to you. I tried twice before (I emailed through the new system to ask), and I could see my local office's response.

Omg, that is next Monday!! wow, they really act fast when they want to.  This gives us hope that one day we will hear some news 🙂

Thank you. I even did not receive the oath ceremony letter by physical mail. 😂 It is still on the way. I printed it by myself. Also, I 100% understand your feelings because my journey is exact 19 months. A guy went to interview with me in the same day and same building. His ceremony was May 24,  but mine was Oct. 25. I was so depressed while waiting at the earlier months. But finally I realize, just be patient, enjoy our regular life, and everything will be fine. It will suddenly happen and surprise you. 😂

    Perfect

    Congratulation again

thank you shared that’s very important information

Just want to share the oath ceremony process. I went to the ceremony today. Because it was raining today, we had our oath on the first floor in door. It was a very quick process. The oath was 8:30 am, and the notice said do not arrive more than 30 minutes prior to the ceremony, so I arrived at 8:10 am.

    First, security check.

Second, I was asked to be in line and to show the notice letter and green card. The clerk asked me 8 yes-no questions on page 4 of the notice (I already filled out them.). Then she stapled my GC and the notice and returned back to me. Also, she gave me a small envelope.

Then, she asked me to go to the oath area. Then an officer came to lead our oath. He asked us to take out an oath card from the small envelope, and raised our right hands. Then we repeated oath after him. After finishing, he said congratulations.

After that, we went on another line. We submitted the stapled GC and the notice to a clerk, and then we got our certificates from her and one name change proof note (if you have a name change). She asked us to check if something is incorrect on the certificate. If everything is fine, we can leave.

The oath was 8:30 am, and I left the building at 8:45 am. If adding other waiting time before the oath, I think 25-30 minutes for a total process. Plus, the notice said Face Masks are required.

Next is your turn,  and it will come very soon, good luck. Blessings.

Wow, CONGRATULATIONS @Moradesk!!! What a pleasant surprise.  So, if your filing date was March 2020 it means it took more than 19 months... what a journey.  Happy for you, let us know when you get the oath date.

Still waiting for mine, I am at about 6 months since interview.

Thank you so much Coco&Kitten. Yes, I will share my oath date when I receive the notice. I hope you will hear yours soon. 6 months since the interview means almost there, just need a little time. God Blesses!

    Bravoooooooooo

    Congratulations

    Yeah

USCIS.gov processing time line is correct

Maximum is 14 month for N400 in LAC field office haha

    sincerely happy with u!

Thank you brother. I believe yours is on the way now, and will come soon. The case we discussed was on the same floor as mine (8th floor). Yours is on the 6th floor, maybe it just needs a little longer time, but it will come soon. Our interview dates are very close, and in the same building. Blessings!

Plus, her case was filing in September 2020 and mine was in March 2020, but she got the interview before me and oath before me two months although we are on the same floor, same office. So I think the filing date is not an issue. Yours will definitely come soon. Looking forward to hearing your good news.

  14. My status finally updated this morning, I cannot believe it. My case is just like the case we discussed. Waiting for 5.5 months since interview, 8th floor. My filing date was March 2020.

I’ve tried to contact the local office, senator, congressman, and Ombudsman; filed an online inquiry; wrote to the White House, but I haven’t heard anything back. Maybe they are still in the process now.

It’s finally our turn. Almost there. Blessings.

    Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled

We placed you in line for your oath ceremony and will send you a notice for Receipt Number XXXX, with the date, time, and location of your oath ceremony. You should receive your notice within 30 days of its mailing date. Please follow the instructions in the notice. I also contact them, but I haven't heard anything back. I hope you will receive the oath ceremony letter soon. I have calculated that it has been past 5.5 months for you, so I think you may hear it soon (based on the case we discussed before). And then I hope I can hear mine after yours two weeks later.  Let's keep updating the good news. Blessings!

I sent a message in USCIS account but no replies. I called the USCIS number and got hold of somebody after 60 minutes of wait. The agent says it might have been a system issue that my first fingerprints have to be retaken. Asking her about my timeline( i.e. the interview, etc) if it will be affected, she said it will not be pushed back, I would still be in my timeline, but who knows when.. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I am sorry to hear that, but I just cannot believe you still do not have the interview. It's good you directly called them. I hope they schedule you for second fingerprints soon and set the interview schedule for you sooner.

I checked your local office. The Receipt Date for a case inquiry is April 30, 2020. Did you send the online inquiry to the local office? You are definitely qualified now.
    https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

I also hope when you go to the interview, the oath will be the same day because you’ve waited a too long time. God blesses!

  17. Just received it today and want to share a response from the USCIS to my inquiry. They said they are still reviewing my case.

"On 9/3/2021, you or your representative contacted U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) about your N-400 because you believe your case is outside normal processing times. We are still reviewing your case. We will mail you a notice when we make a decision.”

Well it’s a bummer for me. I did my Biomtrics last May 26, 2021. Been waiting for an interview schedule but instead they sent me another Biometrics appointment. This is really frustrating.

Did you email and ask them through the USCIS account? I knew some applicants need second Biometrics because the first one was not recognized, but it might be their mistake to resubmit it to you again.
Contact them and you will know what's getting wrong. Best luck!

Lol...She also told me her lawyer said the 8th floor (she went to interview) is for fraud cases. I am so scared and surprised when hearing this because my interview was on 8th floor as well. 😂😭 But mine was also very straightforward, and no criminal record. I only know the 8th is for LA city, the 6th is for LA county. Never know anything about  fraud cases.
