  1. Hi all! I have a quick update. My CR1 consular interview is set up for August 23 and I went to the States on a B1/B2 visa on 7/21 and returned 7/31. For my own comfort I brought a bunch of paperwork in case I was questioned: a copy of the interview letter, vacation form from my job, paystubs that clearly show I'm still employed. I traveled to the US to JFK airport from Dominican Republic. I'm happy to say I could go in no trouble at all! I want to add I'd already traveled to the statea 2 times earlier this year prior to tis visit. They didn't question me or held me. I still recommend you all to bring proof with you about your roots in your home country!
  2. I received via email. We did everything online! I think you should be getting yours soon based on when you sent! (I looked at your timeline). I know it's a very stressful situation My recommendation is that you start preparing for the NVC so the minute that you get it, you can pay all the fees and submit all the documentation right away! Do you guys have all of that set up? Wishing you all the luck!! I've included the official timeline from the moment we got DQ'd. CR1 DQ'd - April 20th Interview Letter - June 15th Interview Date - August 23th
  3. Hi all, hoping to get some help also! I have a very similar case. I want to travel to the US using my tourist visa but is very close to my CR1 interview appointment date. We have a family wedding that was on the books prior to us receiving out appointment date, however I fear it is too close. My appointment is August 23rd, the plan is for me to to take vacations and join my husband and his family for the wedding from July 23rd to July 31st. This would be third time this year I've gone into the US. First time in February (for a concert but stayed for an extra couple weeks, total 3 weeks), and then in May for an emergency doctor appointment for my mom (stayed 2 weeks). On top of that, my biometrics appointment is this Friday, and my friend who went through the same process showed me her passport and they add a sticker to it. I want to believe that bringing an employment letter, my interview letter, and a copy of my ticket back home they will see that I'm indeed not planning to stay and I'm hoping I can go through. Any thoughts or experiences?
  4. Hi! I just recently got my interview, US embassy being in the Dominican Republic as well. I got DQ'd April 20th, 2022, and interview letter was sent out June 15th, so almost 2 months out. I've seen in the DR embassy, they're going through Feb 2022 to April 2022 DQ'd.
  5. Hi everybody! New to the forum and very happy to read all your success stories! I updated my timeline to the best of my abilities so you may check it out on my profile! I'm filing from outside the US. My husband is the USC. Overall, I think everything has moved quickly however now we're in the home stretch which I fear will be the longest one - waiting for my local US Embassy for an interview Anyone's got some knowledge of wait time for the Dominican Republic? Summary of my timeline below: I-130 filed - 5/5/2021 NOA2 - 1/6/2022 NVC - 1/11/2022 DQ'd - 4/20/22 Good luck to all!!
