Sounds like it's been 90+ days, so you wouldn't be out of place reaching out to them.
Thanks for getting back to me. I am going to shoot them a message and hope that they can give me an update.

Hi everyone.
I got the RFE in beginning of October 2021 where the USCIS requested me to submit the birth certificate. I have submitted the required birth certificate via mail and uploaded it on their site. I have still not heard anything and I was wondering if I should send a message to the USCIS. Or, should I wait a little bit. Let me know.

Are you saying that you did not include her birth certificate at all in the AOS packet? It is clearly listed in the I-485 instructions as required evidence. You are lucky they sent an RFE instead of a denial for an incomplete packet.
Just send exactly what the RFE asks for.
No, I’m not saying that.
I already included it in the AOS packet so I wasn’t sure why are they asking for it again. Anyway, I’m going to submit the same birth certificate that I submitted before.

Thanks for getting back to me. I will probably use the the same birth certificate that I originally sent them. I have a question for you. Since I will be using the same birth certificate, any idea how long will it take for them to approve it?

Thanks for getting back to me Quick question. Since you uploaded the same birth certificate, have your been approved?

Late issued birth certificates usually require more evidence........good luck.
Okay, so what should I do? Still get the late issued birth certificate?

Also, my wife did not do her medical test in the USA. She came on the K1 visa and she did her medical test in India. She did it on April 2021.

Hi guys. I applied for my wife’s adjustment of status application back in July 23 and I just heard back from them.
Unfortunately, they are asking to resubmit the birth certificate. My wife is from Rajasthan, India and her birth certificate was issued on February, 2020.
I am not sure why are they asking for it again since one of the officers already uploaded it under the USCIS account. The only problem is that I can find is that when I reviewed the birth.certificate online, it is hard to read it.
Have anyone received similar request regarding the birth certificate? If so, what should I do? Should I request for the same birth certificate expect that it should have a new issues date?

I have been informed from the USCIS that my wife will have a biometric appointment soon and I was wondering if it necessary to change the name in her passport. As of today, her passport shows her last name while her AOS, employment authorization, and travel documents show her married last name. Does anyone know if this going to be an issue?
Thanks!
