    Thank you all for the replies. Yes, we still have to go to the DMV in person. We were trying to upload the info in advance to a designated DMV and then bring the original documents with us. Uploading the documents was a pain in the butt. Thank you.

    Hi people, My wife's green card expires last year but we received the 24-month 797 letter. We are trying to apply for her California Real ID or an ID card for the first time. 1) Can she apply for a real ID or a California ID with the extension letter and her expired green card? 2) We have been trying to upload her green card and letter onto the site. Every time we tried to upload the green card taken with extension letter , first message we receive is "manual verification required" and then the file status returned with different kinds of errors (e.g., expired card, no sex indicated, etc.). Can someone shed some light if they would actually manually verify the documents later on?
