  1. Congrats! It’s such a relief!? yes, lots of people seem to have got their interview notice recently so things must be speeding up thankfully!
  2. Hi all, I got notice today that my green card is being printed! I was hesitant to write on here because I know it’s bittersweet to hear of others’ successes when you’re in limbo / still waiting but I hope it gives you hope… things are moving!
  3. Hello! For anyone who received their green card in the last month or so, how long did it take from green card approved until you received it in the mail? The officer we had yesterday wasn't sure if there was a backlog in producing them. TIA.
  4. I had my interview today in Pittsburgh and he said he approved my green card! He has to update a few bits on info on our file and I should get it in a few weeks! Such a relief!
  5. Mine cost $200 but I was up-to-date with all vaccines and titers before I went. I didnt have a chest xray - I think thats only if you test positive for TB
  6. I have my bio appt mid February so 3 months ago and still no bio. If the company can write a letter saying that they’ll experience financial loss if you don’t work there, you can try to expedite your EAD after your appt.
  7. There’s a chat box that appears on the USCIS website called Emma and you can request to talk to an agent directly through it. I’ve heard most people get told to wait for their bio before expediting but a few have had theirs scheduled. You’ll have to then reapply to expedite after bio as well. And you’ll need clear evidence of the emergency your filing for. Good luck.
  8. They won’t take your I-693. If it says take it to interview, do that. If it says mail it, do that!
  9. Excellent news… what a relief! Let us know how soon it gets updated and then when you receive it please. I have my interview in two weeks and really looking forward to working again soon. 🤞
  10. My lawyer sent a list of everything we needed and this is what they said for the bona fide marriage (sorry about the formatting!): 6. Evidence of the bona fides of the marriage such as: a. Documentation showing joint ownership of property; b. A lease showing joint tenancy of a common residence, meaning you both live at the same address together; c. Documentation showing that you and your spouse have combined your financial resources; d. Birth certificates of children born to you and your spouse together; e. Photographs of wedding day and other various occasions (identify the date, place, and persons in the photographs) f. Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties having personal knowledge of the bona fides of the marital relationship. Each affidavit must contain the full name and address of the person making the affidavit; date and place of birth of the person making the affidavit; and complete information and details explaining how the person acquired their knowledge of your marriage. Include with each affidavit a copy of their government identification document. I have included an affidavit template for family and friends. I have also included a affidavit template for spouse and beneficiary to fill out. g. Any other relevant documentation to establish that there is an ongoing marital union.
  11. Thanks for the advice, Mike. It's still something I want to do though if it's possible and the visa stuff is ticking over nicely.
  12. Hello, I have a social security card in my maiden name and filed for AOS in my maiden name and now want everything to be my married name. I also need a new license as I changed states so would love to update the name on that for which I need the social. I've seen people ask about changing name at their green card interview but I'd love advice from people who have changed their name on their social please! I don't have my EAD yet and my previous visa has expired so don't have current authorisation to work. Thanks in advance!
  13. Hi all, I hope you're keeping sane through this! I just wanted to update you on my progress. Still no EAD or AP after having my bio appt in February. But, despite moving to a different state and expecting a delay from that, my i-485 status changed to "interview scheduled" today! Fingers crossed that it's scheduled in the state! I don't know what USCIS are doing but I've heard of a lot of people recently who went straight to interview and never got their EAD.
