We are both employees of a major U.S. airline, Rahela at Munich airport and I am based in Washington D.C.
She happened to be on my flight to Washington D.C. en route to San Francisco in October 2005. I had eight hours to get to know her. I had bought a car in Los Angeles that I was planning to drive back to Virginia, and I was planning to see some of the great American sites along the way ( Grand Canyon, Memphis, Nashville, etc).
By the end of the flight we were both wishing that we'd be driving together! Instead, we had to settle for me emailing her pictures along the way, which I did every night. The next time I saw her in Munich, we went out for the first time. We both felt so comfortable being together and we had so much to talk about that we hardly ate a bite!
Luckily, being that we are able to travel cheaply, we've been able to see a lot of each other over the past two years: she's been to the US.. many times: to Seattle, Florida, Georgia, San Diego and I've spent time in Munich, Austria, Slovenia, and Croatia , where her family is from.
Thanks for your kind words and sweet thoughts and prayers that you send our way, I am much better now and having a a good time with our new house! Life is good , God is great!
