  1. Interview failed, got the blue :crying:

I am really sorry to hear your news.

One of my friends got also a blue slip on his interview 11/21/07.

He went to the Consulate week after and provided some more pic. he recently took with his wife.

They let him waited for almost 4 hours and suddently they called up his name and gave him a pink slip.

I hope this experience can be a little help for you.

    Good Luck!

  2. sorry haven't been keeping in tough with you guys, but have been busy with a new job and just leased a new apartment after my old landlord decided to build a shopping center out of my old one..

but anyway, my wife's interview is Today 5PM PST (8:00AM Saigon time). I'm praying everything goes well. I did all I could, we must have saved 500 pages of evidence (certificates, paperwork, phone bills, plane tickets, hotel bills, call logs, yahoo IMs).

oh please please, let the interview go smoothly. Pray for me guys..

Good Luck to both of you.

    Regards!

  3. Hi everyone,

-----9. "The NVC does very little to a case, mainly we give it a reference number, check to make sure it's okay and send it off" This is true, the default time they will give you regardless of when you call is 2-4 weeks for processing.

    10. Best of Luck!!! I hope this was helpful!!

Thanks a lot for your info.

NVC received my case on Nov. 3rd and today Dec.4th, they (NVC) still have not sent out my case to the Embassy.

I got a letter from them on Nov. 8th and it stated that my case would be transferred to the Embassy WITHIN a week (?).

Now, according to them, they are waiting for result of a background check. When I mentioned the over due per their correspondence, they change their story and say they can no longer tell when will my case be transferred.

My priority date is May 9th. It has gone 7 months without getting a final result of my case. :-(

  4. I will be going to VN in December for my first time to meet my future fiance face to face for the first time.

We were introduced by her sister who lives here in the US. We have been video chatting for almost a year. I will be there for 5 weeks.

    Does anyone have any advice???

Dalat is a realy nice city. We got our bus tickets from a travel agency called Sinh Cafe at De Tham Street, Saigon. It was easy for us to get hotels overthere. They have a nice restaurant on Xuan Huong Lake (Ho Xuan Huong).

I wish you a nice trip!

  5. Originally I wanted to go back on for my fiancee's interview, but it looks like the interview date will be in Feb/March due to the delays. There are projects for my work that will need to be done by March 2008 and so I won't be able to leave. That's why I plan to surprise my fiancee with next month's visit eventhough if it's only for a week.

I can either go to see my fiancee for 3 weeks now at X-mas or wait to her interview around Feb./March, but I cannot go both times due to work situation. So please give me your opinion which one is a better trip in the CO:s eye. If I wait to Feb./March then it will be more than 15 months I have not seen my fiancee. Will that be a question for the CO at our interview? My last visit was Dec. 2006.

    Thanks in advance!

  6. I stayed with my Fiance at her family house her father took me to the local police and did the paper work we had no problems.

On my last trip (X-mas 2006) to Vietnam, when my aunt took my passport to the police station to make the registration for my staying, they told her that there is no more need to do that process.

Me and my fiancee did not experience any problem with the authority by living in same room at our hotels during our trips. She had her ID card and I had my passport. Maybe just because I speak vietnamese (?). We did wear our wedding rings though. People always addressed us as mr and mrs. (anh, chi) even they knew we don't have the same last names.

    Gary and Yen,

I wish you a very pleasant trip to Vietnam. Have fun and enjoy your staying :-)

    Regards!

  7. Just wondering if it is just me but I am still waiting for my NOA2. I sent in my I-129F on 7/10/07 to Vermont Center and it is 11/14/07. Over 4 months and still waiting. I see that some people here have sent in their after me and they have recieved their NOV2 already. Should I wait a few more days or give them a call and chase it down?

    Thanks

It took 145 days for me to get my NOA2, and after that, it took another 38 days to get my approval forwarded to NVC.

I understand that it's confusing that some people may get it earlier. I have a guy turn in his paper work 2 weeks before me and now he already gets his interview set up, when my NOA2 has not even reached the NVC (?). Well I guess we should be happy for those who got their process moved faster.

I think it's still a good idea to call to ensure they don't lose your paper work somewhere else.

    Good Luck!

  8. You only have to meet 1 time in the last 2 years. If you've met twice in 2 years and your going to be there during the interview... you'll be fine. It's probably better because at the interview she can tell him that you are there waiting outside etc. Because i'm not going to be at vietnam for the interview I wrote a letter with a love story timeline deal in it that shes going to stick up the CO's nose until he reads it hehehaha. :)

You'll be fine. You can always explain stuff!

    Thank you for your advice!

Enjoy your trip in Vietnam and best luck at your coming interview.

    Regards!

  9. Red Flag 1: Only 1 trip to VN

........ I've also read about a lot of people who visit during the time of the interview.

Will it matter to the CO if i come a 2nd time in Oct. or if my 2nd time is when the interview process is going on or do they just want me there more than once to ease the red flags?

    I need your wise advice:

I have difficult to decise when to go Vietnam to see my fiancee next time.

    A little background first:

I have seen my fiancee two times in the pass. The last time I was with her was mid Dec. 2006.

I am planing to see her one more time before her interview.

Expecting interview date: Feb. / March 2008

My problem is from now to her interview, I can only take one time (max. three weeks) off from work.

I rather want to see my fiancee during her weeks of interview. If we pass the interview, I can help her with her flight to the States too, or if we get a denial, I least I can be at her side to her give my support.

My question is: Will that be a problem if we have not seen each other during a period of more than 12 months?

I don't think we will get our interview date until Feb. / March 2008, i.e more than 15 months since last time we met.

Is there some kind of "minimum" time (period) between two meetings before the CO starts raising his Red flags?

    Thank you for your time!

    Regards!

  10. My friend paid $20usd (twenty) only.

    Thank you for your confirmation.

I did check with my travel agent, according to him, he will charge me less $30.00/ticket when purchase ticket without visa.

What I understand so far is the application can be sent either to the Vietnam Embasy in Washington D.C and the Vietnam Consulate in San Francisco.

Is there any different where to send the application?

    Thanks again!

    Regards!

  11. Same here. It was received at NVC on Nov. 2. Very happy after a long wait. :D

    Congratulation to you MR2nice!!!!!

I just finished my phone call to NVC, and got it confirmed that my case has been recieved by NVC yesterday Nov. 5th.

I also got my case number.

According to NVC, I can expect my case will be reached the US Ambassy within two weeks from now.

Thanks for all your updated info. They have been help keeping me calm.

Best luck to the continuing process!

    Regards!

    2007K1

  12. I hope that's the case because I just checked my status online and I got a touch yesterday 11/01. Hopefully that meant they sent our case to NVC.

    MR2nice

I also hope that they have sent your case to NVC, and the touch was not due to your phone call to them earlier.

My NOA2 is close to your, but I have not got any touch. I have called NVC everyday but always got the same response that NVC has not recieved my case.

    Best regards!

  13. \.......I can't believe these people!!! Giving us the run around stories. At this point, I don't believe anything they tell me anymore. It just seems they're trying to rush you off the phone by giving you any kind of stories. Sorry for the rant people. I'm just so mad from the lies they're telling me.

With so much liers, we could not help wondering if we are dealing with a goverment organization and not with some banana republic.

Mr2nice, I wish USCIS, NVC and every agancies will read your posting and feel ashame for threating us like that.

However, thanks a lot for your updating. At least I am not feeling alone anymore with all the delays of my case.

    Thanks!

  14. .....She then told me that my case was forwarded directly to the Consulate where my fiancee is at.

I told her that on my NOA2 letter it specifically states that it was sent out to the NVC and that any further contact should be with them. She said from looking at the system it was already sent off to the Consulate instead of NVC. I need to look at my NOA2 letter again tonight because I remember reading it over 10 times. I did not remember anything about my case being sent directly to the Consulate. This is so frustrating because we were never informed of this. Only when you call them then they tell something else otherwise. I've already asked my fiancee to check tomorrow at the Embassy to see if they received our case. Will keep you guys posted.

I have read somewhere else that some cases have been bypassed NVC and forwarded directly from USCIS to Ambassy.

Have you been able to obtain a case number? This number issued by NVC. It may be hard to check with the ambassy without this case number.

    Please keep update.

    Thanks!

  15. Hi all

We have all been hanging out in the April and May/June filers thread for our approvals. Now, lets use this thread to track our progress to NVC!!! Any updates yet? Anyone call to see if NVC got it?

    Cheers

My NOA2 was 30 days ago. I got an email from NVC yesterday Oct. 28th. They state that my case has not been recieved by NVC yet.

  16. Today marks exactly 4 weeks since my NOA2 and NVC has not yet received my case. When I called NVC they told me "it can take up to 90 days." :clock:

    MR2nice,

Have you heard anything from NVC regarding your case yet?

My case has not been transferred to NVC either, even my NOA 2 was Sept. 29th.

I got an email from NVC on OCt. 28th. It stated that my case has not been forwarded from USCIS.

Anybody knows how long it takes nowaday from NOA2 to NVC recieves your case?

    Thanks!

  17. Hello all,

I went to the USCIS website today (http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis) and they had a link about receipting delays due to the high volume of people trying to beat the deadline for the new filing fees.

I wonder if this is having a "trickle-down" effect on people awaiting their NOA2's and NVC's. I receipted my NOA1 on the tail end of May and I have not heard a peep from CSC since. I did notice that CSC says in their monthly updates that the process takes (6) months, but I always thought that was "boiler-plate" language and not to be taken literally. Also, the statistical data have shown less than 6 months for NOA2.

Oh well, wait it out if need be, what can we do? :)

I will be traveling to see my fiancee for the (4th) time, I want to take some more pictures of us together. I also want to show that the gap between our visits has been consistent and not too long (6 months at the most). I also intend to drill her with interview questions ...(never too late for preparation).

Wow!!!! It was a lot of useful info you provided. Thanks!

My NOA1 (Recieved date) was one week before yours. I got my NOA2 yesterday Oct. 2nd by email. So your NOA2 should by around the corner now.

I am also planning a trip to Vietnam in mid of Dec.. Can you recommend some nice places? Thanks a lot in advance.

Have a nice trip to VietNam!!!! and please keep us updated.

  18. I've just received a Hard Copy of NOA2 today in the mail. I've been calling them on a monthly basis using the RFE trick starting in August and you could see the resulted touches in my signature below. These touches only occurred after I made the calls, with the most recent on 09/28. I didn't get an email approval so that's why I'm a little shock that it just came home. It's still a ways to go but I am happy that another step have been completed. Thank you everyone for your support and I'm sure your turn is around the corner when you least expected.

    Congratulations!!!!!!

We have the same date for NOA1, and almost same NOA2. You got your NOA2 a little bit earlier :-))

I wish both of you best wishes and Best Luck at your interview!

    Regards!

  19. We were shocked to see that we were touched on October 1. At first I was thinking it was yesterday, but then I realized that in California it is October 1, and it is still early enough in the day that we might receive word of our approval in the next few hours. That may not happen, but at least we know our file is being looked at for a change.

We haven't posted here before, but we thought this might be some encouraging news for everyone so here it is.

    Ping and Lee

I also got a touch on Oct. 1st and this morning Oct 2nd, I got my approval.

  20. I am looking for any help or advice on what is needed to make sure that my fiance's k1 visa goes smoothly. We have met and spent time together and have evidence of our relationship, but she is worried that she will not get through the interview ok. So any help that can be given would be very appreciated. We have been through alot this past year and want to make sure that everything goes well. Thank you

I am in the same situation as yours. I have no advice to give at this time, but I wish you both the best wishes and GOOD LUCK!

What I heard so far so HCM Consulate is the hardest place to get a K1-visa (?). Please keep updating your info on this forum. It may help other people like us. I will.

  21. Hello, everybody,

I am sorry if this questions has already been asked, I couldn't find any posts on this topic.

    Here is the story:

We have been waiting for our NOA2 for 3 months so far and our case hasn't been touched even once.

we called the USCIS about 2 weeks ago and they said not to worry but I would like to ask if there is anybody in the same situation as we are. I don't really know how normal it is and if we should keep on calling them to keep on asking the same question.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. :)

My NOA1 is 05/09/2007 and I have not seen anything happen to my case either.
