  1. hey so my fiance just went and got her damn medical done, and she said she paid 9000 f^^^^^^ baht. There was one shot 5,333 baht. The name of it is

Has anyone ever heard of this damn shot? She went with the lawyer and the lawyer said this shot is legit I guess. Damn that's annoying.

This is probably the HPV shot. New legislation pushed through by a texas senator on the take by Merck who claims this shot prevents cervical cancer. It is now required for femal immigrants between the ages of 16(?) - 26 years of age. HPV stands for human papiloma virus. sp? It is total bullshit as the efficacy has yet to be proven and some sever side effects have cropped up.

Hey thanks, yea youre right. Total bull sh**if you ask me too, they are basically using our fiances as their damn guinea pigs. That texas senator needs to be punched in the face, that's unreal. Expensive as hell too.

I hate to rain on your parade twice in one day but your fiancee only received one of three shots required. She will need to get the next one in eight weeks and the final one six months after the second. My "lawyer" didn't know anything about the HPV shot. Also I found out from the CDC website that your fiancee does not have to complete all three shots to enter the country but she will have to in order to adjust status. I assumed the vaccination would be cheaper at Bumrungrad so had my fiancee get her second shot there.

  2. Sawadeeeekruuuuuup!

Hey my fiancee only got a few documents back when she left her interview. I really hoped I would get all that documentation back i.e. tax forms. investment statements etc. but she only got back the copy of my passport and phone records. She did say the package she got back to take when she enters the country is huge!!! I will be in BK in two weeks to bring her stateside. Should I call the embassy to enquire about this or can somebody shed some light on this for me?

  4. If and when you get the details of the warrant, I have a possible simple solution.

Find out who the bad checks were written to. Hunt those parties down, speak with them. Tell them he is sorry and you would like to make restitution (this should include interest) if all charges can be dropped. If they agree, now contact the proper police or who ever and see what can be done. you never know until you try.

Unless there is mistaken identity, your fiance'e has screwed people. Trying to fix the problem this way is honest and could work. Also it could end up much cheaper than all the bills and head aches that will probably be coming your way. You may get past the visa but the time for pay back will come.

Good luck, honest people mostly prevail

I helped an employee out of a jam like this. The people who got screwed ONLY want to get paid. The D.A. wants to clear the case. Make some phone call. Pay those your fiance owes. And get the D.A. to drop the charges. Do not hire a lawyer!! You can make this go away on your own.

  5. Sorry if this has been addressed previously but I have searched and searched to no avail.

Has anyone had success in getting their K1 visa without having the most recent year's tax return but instead offering a copy of their tax extension?

I sent 4 years of tax returns 2003-2006 and sent a copy of my 2007 extension. I have no W-2 for 2007 because I have been making money from investments.

    Thanks!

    Heiko,

When Rin received her visa last April, I had not filed my 2006 taxes yet. I had transcripts from 2003-2005, plus a roughed in copy for 2006 printed out of Turbotax.

    Good luck,

    john

Thanks John.... Sai has her interview in 28 hours at the Bangkok embassy so I will post then whether this is an issue or not. This whole process has been rather exciting.....in a bad way :jest:

  7. Thanks to this site I have been able to get my fiancee' a visa......ALMOST!!! Her interview is in 10 days!!!

I hope this isn't a problem but I took 18 months away from work to travel around the world when I met my fiancee. I am working now and sent in my

I-134 along with my for 2003, 2004 and 2005 tax returns. I was self employed during those years and my accountant put me on the backburner for my 2006 returns since I was out of the country and not working. The extensions were filed and taxes paid but he still hasn't finished the return for 2006 or 2007. Do you think there will be a delay on the visa since I cannot produce last year's tax returns???

I have at least 5x savings for income requirements and in addition own my house and cars and have no debt.

Still I am so nervous about this proces. Please keep Sai and I in your prayers.

    Thanks

    Heiko

  8. well, i guess it all depends on who you ask.

came across this in another thread; http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=87516

maybe all you negative nellys should head over to this thread and shoot them down as well.

I went to my local office and asked if i would have any problems if i file now or should i wait. i was told by a government worker that i could file.

i have been told by non-government workers on this site that i could not file. who to believe?....

maybe some of the people on this blog work for the USCIS, and just don't want to say so and are trying to discourage us; i will listen to the official that i met face to face.
