  1. Hi,

My wife and I want to petition her 2 kids in the Philippines, I was laid off before and we decided to wait to petition them later, but now have a very good job. She has been here over a year now. I do not think they can still follow to join? So we have to petetion with the I-130 again? How much is it per child and how long does it take now,she is a green card holder, and im not the real father. So the best way to go is for her to petition as a permanent resident?

    Thanks for any info:-)

  2. There is no follow to join priviledge on an I-130 for a spouse. The child needs their own approved I-130 for a CR2 visa.

Ok but I remeber the child could of came with her at the same time or within so many months he could of came after she came, am I right? Or is it at the time of actually doing the paper work I said I will only petition her becuse of x amount of yearly income? does that make sense?

  3. Hi when I petitioned my wife she also put her son's name on the I-130 to come or follow to join soon after. At the time I was laid off and could not afford for him to come with her:-(. So anyway now we both are working, it has been a little over a year since she came to US, do we have to re-petition him or can he come right away since he was on the I-130 to come with her or follow to join? Thank for any info:-)

  4. Wait a minute - what do you mean his wife's baby? The child is not his?

Hi everyone I just have a question about how much does it cost to support a baby in the Philippines. I married a Pinay and she is here now,but im asking for a friend who is sending money to his wife's family to support her sisters baby. He is sending 250 american dollars or about 12,500 pesos a month to support and take care of his wife's baby becuse she cant not find work now. It is for milk basic doctor visits and clothes, diapers etc.. Is this to much to send? Im not sure how much it is there to support a baby, some people are telling me that's to much and maybe they are using the money for other things to. Thanks for any input:-)

uhmmm actually $250 for the expenses of the baby is too much... but for the consideration for the family then $250 will be a big help for the family here in the phil...

but if the family is having a standard living here... uhmmm wait... a good milk here is 1000 per big can and a baby can consume 2 to 3 cans a month plus can consume 2-3 bags of diaper/ month if the diaper is mommy poko then it will be 1,800 / month plus docotors fee.. and vaccines... that is 1,800 per vaccine.... so now u ahve an idea hehehe...plus vitamins heheheh.. hay... having a baby here is soooo big expense wow ehhehehe....

Thanks happy me , need any help with the visa process just ask me my wife already here from the philippines:-)

and i forgot the clothes and other baby stuff... hehehe...

  6. Yes one of those 2 ladies, since it is in review it should be done very soon within a week I would say becuse once my wifes was in review it only took that long, then when they release the visa delbros should only take 1 or 2 days to recieve and then deliver which will take 2 to 7 days depending on if your in main city or province far from a main airport. Don't worry to much should be very soon they are done as long as documents at nso are ok:-)

  7. Hi everyone my wife finally got her visa in Butuan Philippines, funny Delbros text her to go pick it up at Jolliebee of all places lol. I hope everyone here to will get there Visa to be together forever to. What a long wait this immigration thing is,and it really test your love and patience. If you can stay in love for a year or so long distance then its only heaven when your finally together again;-)

  8. Hi Filiricans and everyone Finally after my wife got the white slip n pink slip I called the Embassy Friday and theyd said she is approved:-) After one week of turning in the documents they wanted. I truly hope everyone else is approved and the ones still waiting after getting a white slip will be approved soon to. It is such a relief to know you are finally approved:-)

  9. Maybe you're one of the young pretty ladies I saw there. I was just kinda shy to approach anyone and was so busy looking at the numbers being flashed. I couldn't even read the paper (re CR1 status) that the guy from the numbering booth gave me. Sayang nga but I'm happy for you guys. I know you'll get your visas soon!

Hi Red earth are you still waiting your visa? We are to I called embassy and they said call back Friday, it all depends on the case work of the consul.

  10. Hi Filiricans, the doc she asked is a letter from the federal agency administering my hubby's disability benefits although my hubby had an explanation letter with his AOS and other proofs too. He was also surprised since his AOS has been approved already by the NVC.

They didn't ask me for any other document not even copies. Only the appointment letter from NVC and our pictures. Good luck to us!!!

Hi Red Earth, they also gave my wife back her passport, but told her everything is fine they just want a original 864 which I sent and my wife should get Tuesday then she will just turn that in at the Embassy Wensday;-)

She got a pink slip and white slip to, but im sure both her and you will get visa soon because you both got a pink slip and paid delivery fee.

David, does ur new I-864 was notarized? Thanks

Hi Filiricans yes I did have it nortorized, in my case I sent NVC original and a copy of 864 but for some reason they sent the copy, that's why I had to send another original

  12. Hi everyone I started this topic for all the people recieving pink and white slips from the US Manila Embassy. My wife had her interview AUG 22 and recieved pink slip and white slip asking for another document. They wanted a orginal 864 form, which I sent to NVC with a copy but I guess they sent the copy lol. So anyway I will send that to her and hopefully she will get her Visa:-) So im curious about others experiences at the Manila Embassy and what happened, and how long it took them after they sent them the documents they ask for from the white slip to get there visa.

  13. OMG! i hope this isnt becoming a trend for a 2nd interview for all peeps.. :(

    goodluck to all.. (F)

There is another one who is asked to undergo second interview but hers have at least a reason why:http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=144871

I also hope that going for second interview will not be the standard now... thinking of one interview was already nerve wracking how much more a second interview.. a panel interview at that.

    HELLO;

I THINK THAT WE WERE THE FIRST TO BE TOLD, WAIT UNTIL YOU HEAR FROM US ! THIS IS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND. WE PAID DELBROS A MONTH OR SO BEFORE THE INTERVIEW. I CALLED USEM TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE INTERVIEW AND THEY SAID THAT THEY HAD RECD. NOTIFICATION FROM DELBROS THAT WE HAD PAID. THEY SAID THAT THEY WOULD START THE PROSCESS WITH THE NSO THAT DAY.

OUR INTERVIEW WAS AUGUST SIX. AFTER THE INTERVIEW MY WIFE WAS TOLD "WAIT UNTIL YOU HEAR FROM US"!!! NO EXPLANATION OR REASON WAS GIVEN! WE HAVE BEEN FOURTEEN MONTHS TRYING TO GET A VISA. AT LEAST THEY COULD GIVE A REASON FOR ANOTHER DELAY. THE WAITING WITHOUT KNOWING ANYTHING IS ALMOST UNBEARABLE. I WILL CALL USEM MONDAY MORNING, I EXPECT THEY WILL GIVE NO INFO AND TELL ME TO CALL BACK IN TWO WEEKS, AS THEY HAVE ALREADY DONE TO OTHERS WITH THE SAME SITUATION.

Unfortunately, you are not the first to be told "wait till you hear from us".. there has been several cases already.. envy_me was only one among the many, some have even paid DV 2months in advance. I guess the verification system used by USEM which is DELBROS-USEM-DELBROS-NSO-USEM still needs a lot to be desired. Combined that with the fact that there are a lot of Philippine registry records (BC, Marriage cert., etc) that contains typographical errors and other sort of messed up entries and there are also late registered BC which sometimes post additional problem in the verification process.

I could understand the frustration, the waiting for visa part was the hardest part for me even though I only had to wait 13days.. what was even harder was my verification result were already with embassy that time, i did not get any white slip nor heard the "wait till you hear from us" words. So I was in complete limbo that time. When we called they would only say "it is still under review". I don't know what took them too long to review our case when another girl (who also have two kids and also on K1/K2) who had interview same day with me had their visa released printed that afternoon and was released for delivery the following day. For me, I was not even rushing to fly to the US, I just wanted to receive the visa so I won't have to worry if we were approved or not.

I hope you will get the visa soon... Same hope goes to everybody else waiting. (F)

I was just wondering if there was a lack of evindence in this case such as chats, phone records and financial proof, pictures etc...?

  14. Hi, My wife is going to have her Manila embassy interview Aug 22, she is getting worried about if they will accept copies of all the original documents, I-864, W2's, paystubs, Ds-230, has anyone had there interview there at Manila and can tell me if it is ok for her to just have copies of all the original documents even though we gave all originals to NVC?

    Thanks again for your help:-)

  15. At least you got real person hehe:-) Well now they text my wife again said they sent to NSO Friday Aug 1st, but when my wife called Richard at NSO he said they did not have it so who's lieing Richard now lol, is it he is very busy and tamad to check into seeing if it is really at NSO? She said Richard was not very nice to her so maybe becuse he is in bad mood he didnt care to check? But that's a bullshit reason beucse thses people should think how long we are waiting to be with our loved ones

  16. My wife was told by DElbros the her verification was sent already last Friday, she just called NSO today Tuesday, talked to Richard and he said no they have not got it yet from Delbros. So Delbros is lieing to people now, not just us but others. Is it against the law there to Lie to customers?

  17. NSO got mine on July 21 also and was sent back to the embassy on July 25.

who told you that it was sent back to the USEM? why?

The richard person at NSO told me. Maybe because NSO already is finished with it.

  18. Hi DaLip, I called the Embassy with the 18 dollar pin number the guy said there is no way they can check to see if, or when they sent my wife's name to Delbros  All they can do is tell me the case status lol. What a bad system they have lol, should be so easy you would think, soon as Embassy gets interview names, then send to Delbros ,then Delbros has the list and all they have to do is go down the list paid or not then forward to NSO why is it so hard for them to get this system down to where it works effeciently lol.

It is because you actually did not call the US embassy, you just called a BPO(business process outsourcing a.k.a. CALL CENTER) company handling US embassy account (and many other big companies' account) and simply talked to a call center agent (not employed by USEM but by the call center) when you dialed that customer service number using $18 pin. They don't have your physical file nor have any direct access to all the data in your application, they are just reading from script and don't know anything beyond what is feed to them. If you want to know more info on the real status of your papers try calling the US embassy directly: 011 632 301 2000 ext 5184 or 8185 and look for either grace or lorraine. (no need for PIN, just the normal overseas call rate)

And yeah, the process should have been easy if they have a good system.. but as the sheriff has said "the right hand has no clue what the left hand is doing". :(

Good luck to you and to others who are still waiting.

THats another big problem my wife has tried to call the US Manila Embassy about 15 times at different times and always gets a busy message LOL, thats why I tried the 18 dollar pin number, now I hope if I call back the pin phone number they can forward my call to Grace? but im not counting on it.

US embassy directly: 011 632 301 2000 ext 5184 or 8185 and look for either grace or lorraine.

they entertain callers within 2pm-4pm, mon-fri ONLY.

Is it really better to call the Embassy between 2 and 4pm? lol  other ext. 5185?
