  1. Thanks, today I asked Emma and got confirmation my case is with the field office in Helena. Hoping that from there it won't take too long.
  2. Thanks for this. I've only contacted them once and didn't get anywhere so assumed it was pointless... Have a quick question for you, I sent my packet to Phoenix lockbox. What happens to it from there? Am I right in thinking that it goes to NBC? Or will it go to local field office? I'm pretty confused about what's going on. Might be relevant that I have IOE receipt number.
  3. What did you say to Emma to find out where your case is? All I can get is a link to the "check case status" page...
  4. Screenshot is from the instructions PDF for the form I-131. Link here: https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-131instr.pdf
  5. This is a very recent update and doesn't seem to align exactly with what people here are saying about applying for AP while adjusting status (I'm personally interested in the K-1 AOS case). The relevant part of the instructions is below. It says that your reason for applying must be a personal or family emergency or bona fide business reasons. Further on in the instructions, it does state that you may attach a reason for the AP or proof that you filed I-485 (I'm told it is enough proof to file these concurrently). My question is, was the instruction page always like this? Should I leave date, expected length of trip and purpose of trip sections blank in the form itself? I know people had said previously that you can fill it out like this but I didn't find any forum posts since the date of the current form so I was a bit spooked. Thanks!
  6. In this case should I submit a photocopy of my DS3025 or they will already have it? Also, I've seen written on VJ in places that it's still required to submit parts of the I-693, but those pages are possibly dated and from my understanding of the USCIS instructions of the form I should not need to...
  7. Hi, thanks for your reply and sorry it took me so long to get back to you. On the second page of my DS-3025, in section 3, none of the options are marked. All the boxes are left blank. The page is still signed and dated. Should I ask the center that completed my medical to remedy this and send me the updated copy? Or should I just send this along with proof of my second vaccine?
  8. Hey, so I'm applying soon for my adjustment of status, and had my medical for my K1 visa less than a year ago. At the time I only had my first Hep B vaccine, and so got the waiver for not having all of them since there is time between each vaccination. I've now had my second hep B vaccination but won't have my third by the time I submit. My question is will I be required to get a USCIS civil surgeon to sign off on me not having the third hep B vaccine or will it be enough to submit the waiver from the first doctor and evidence of my second hep B vaccine? Thanks!
  9. That makes sense, thanks for you response. Any idea if the EAD and AP are generally assessed and returned together?
  10. I see that VJ has a timeline section for form I-131 (AP) which is has locations down as local field offices rather than the national benefits center. As I understand it, the National Benefits Center is processing the I-131 right now, and not the local field offices? Can someone correct me on this or inform me more as to how this works? I'm going to be filing my application for AP in early November and hoping to have it by August, but judging by the USCIS website 80% are done within 11.5 months. So seems unlikely that I'll have it in time, right? Too big a risk to plan a trip in August? Anyone get their AP recently, when did you first apply? Thanks guys
  11. Thanks for this response, Fiancee was remembering off the top of her head and did indeed confuse them for a sec. Had us worried!
  12. Managed to book my medical, but it's not until the end of August...any chance you can post here about how long it takes to get a visa appointment after you get your medical results? Also, I noticed that the email from the medical center lists a different required vaccine schedule than the one from the NVC, do you have any idea if the HPV is required for male applicants? Thanks for your reply btw. Also if you could let me know how the medical goes in general that would be great!
  13. When I check the case status on https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx, I get IN TRANSIT and then: Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center.
  14. Yes got a case number starting with DBL for the NVC tracker. I'm a bit confused on what I should be doing. I also noticed that you must enter the country within 6 months of the medical being taken, so a little hesitant with that, no idea how long it will take to get an interview. Should I book the medical directly with the doctor? Thanks for the reply.
  15. Received the email from NVC today, but still no change on what the USCIS case status says (still "Case Received"). Anything to worry about there? Also, do I wait for the embassy to contact me regarding the interview now, and go from there?
