  1. Having just had my interview in  March, I wasn't required to show any additional evidence that wasn't in my original petition. Which is a good thing since I only had the original photos with me, and not newer photos from after the petition lol.

I feel like my officer didn't ask me much of anything though. I was only asked what I do for work, what my fiance does for work, and the address I'll be living at. The only paperwork required are original copies of your birth certificate, police certificate, the I 134 form, and statement of intent to marry from the US citizen. They will photocopy the passport page.

Everything else off that checklist is gravy. I was never asked for any of it but other situations are different.

Yup that’s right! Mine said Application Received under Nonimmigrant Visa for a day and a half before it changed to AP for 2 days and then changed to Issued on Friday. You’re close!

I'm both excited and not sure I believe it this week. This has been such a roller coaster, I will celebrate once I get the Issued status and info on where my passport is. 🙃😩

the denial of entry might be it. But let me know how it goes. Good luck to you! And I hope it comes through!

My status changed to Application Received on March 29th. I believe that's what you saw after the interview? My description mentions to wait 2 business days if I've had my interview already so I guess I'm one step behind processing? At least it isn't refused anymore.

Ugh that sucks. But if they kept your passport, that's definitely a good sign. Probably just something to sort out on their end. I'd follow up by email as well to see if they need anything from you.

I've just spent the last hour scouring articles about 221g and it could be as simple as one of my answers not lining up. My occupation had changed since petition and I forgot to mention both. Or I have a denial of entry on my passport that automatically puts me in 221g since I've felt like I've been treated horribly since it happened. I'll let things settle for a week before I send an email.

I'm sure it'll get resolved. Did they tell you why you got put into AP?

I tried asking two different ways but they just repeated: if we need any additional information we'll contact you. They kept my documents so they anticipated it would be quick but who knows how quick it will actually be...

Yeah it’s really short especially since there’s fewer people because of covid

Also could you tell me what your status on ceac is once your interview is done? Ours was on Nonimmigrant visa application received and then Nonimmigrant visa administrative processing a day after and has been at that ever since. I’ve heard that’s the step right before issued but I’d love to know what others statuses look like too

My status was changed to refused. It will stay as refused until the administrative processing has completed.

Good luck! We had ours on Monday and my fiancé said it was super chill. He was in and out in about 45 minutes! We are currently waiting for our visa package to be ready for pickup

Oh my gosh if it only takes 45 minutes I'm going to have so much time to burn until my flight. I gave myself 7 hours.

  8. I had my medical on March 5 and it was sent on March 9. Basically Thursday to Tuesday.  My interview isn't until March 26 but the consulate should have received my medical electronically today anyway. So it is possible to get a timely turnaround and im going to be very upset if the consulate tells me they haven't received it yet at my interview. I feel like the consulate has been dropping the ball on processing the incoming medicals, not the doctors.

I went to Dr Cheema in BC.

Medical is done here too. What was the vaccine for? We went to Dr. Mascarenhas in Toronto today and it was $360. I think blood tests are included in the $360. They didn't give you anything at the medical to take to the consulate right? They told us they would just send it to them directly.

Yeah it was all to be sent electronically. I didn't pay for the blood test but the clinic said it had a cost. I'm pretty sure it was billed to the medical clinic, I walked out without paying anything lol.

I needed varicella vaccine. Apparently I never got one as a kid or it wasn't on any records.

  10. Medical complete.  That was expensive... I don't even know how much I've spent on Uber.

$365 + $95 vaccine and I'm not sure if they charged me for the blood tests. Yikes.

    I went to Dr Cheema.

    Awesome!! Thats very cool.

My fiancée lives in Manitoba... not sure if location matters as far as email or snail mail?

I know our emails on file are correct because we did get updates via email when they tranferred our case to MTL from NVC.

I received my p3 packet in the post. Took longer for me to receive in canada than my petitioner in the US. The letter was dated Jan 26, my petitioner received notice around Feb 2, and I didn't see it in my mailbox until the next week. I wish it was just an email notification.

  12. I tried applying to join and I've been declined every time. I don't have an active facebook account so I'm sure I looked like a bot to them. This forum works for now, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Yes I sent in my P3 on feb 8th and got an update yesterday feb 10th. I’m getting excited and hoping for an interview date maybe next week or as early as tomorrow!

ok my NOA2 was April 6th and case created April 24th too! We have very similar timelines haha. Like I said in my reply above. I didn’t get that auto message but my case ended up getting a date change yesterday meaning they received P3. Very excited

Yeah, looks like we're in the same wave of processing. It's nice to have input from more people around the same timelines. Grats

  14. Sorry for double posting but I just checked my status after reading the good news here. My case was updated again on Feb 8, and I had just sent in my p3 last week.

I'm very excited for possible news coming soon.

We received and sent our P3 today. Did you happen to get an auto response from the consulate when you sent your P3? We usually get it when we send an email but didn’t get it this time. It looks like this

Yes I did get that message soon after sending p3.

My NOA2 was dated April 9 and my case was created at nvc around April 24? Both in April though.

  16. All of those questions are a mystery.  If we had that kind of info I'm sure it would be easier to find. My NOA2 was April 9 and I received p3 last week. I sent it back that day and now I wait to see how long p4 will take. I'm ready for an interview any day.

  17. My case reached NVC in April. I had applied for unemployment right as the pandemic started in March. Because I was in a placement program, I ended up taking whatever job they found for me since participating in that program gave me a steady income biweekly. I told myself I could be out of the country at any moment, but I've stuck with the job just because it was the only way I could visit my fiance and show that I'm returning to Canada. Now that I've received P3 and my case is underway in Montreal, I'm really hoping for a P4 with interview date within a couple weeks. I'm definitely on my way to resignation since I'm so close to an interview date and I will need to quarantine etc. to travel and do the medical.

If your case isn't in Montreal yet, you have time to get a job for ~6 months. I've been hemorrhaging money ever since I started waiting on this visa, so I needed to take a job.
