  1. Hi everyone, So my wife has been here in the USA for 1 month. We were married December 15, 2021 in the Philippines. I just paid the $220 uscis immigrant fee today (I got a letter in the mail, I have no idea why this wasn’t included with all the fees from before...) I believe with the cr1 she will receive a 1 year green card at some point in the next 2-ish months. Is there a way to get this changed after December 15 (we will then have been married for 2 years) so she can get the 10 year green card? We plan to spend a lot of time overseas starting March or April of next year and having to come back before October of next year will complicate things. Does anyone have any experience with this? Also we live really close to the southern border so if we need to cross to update anything we can do that pretty easily. Thanks!
  2. Thank you for the CFO advice. We were Documentarily Qualified on May 12, but still waiting for the appointment date in Manila. Hopefully it comes soon. Was thinking of making the appointment at St Lukes, but not sure.
  3. Wow this is so much. Do you have to submit all that? I was just going to submit the 2022 tax transcript and i864. Is all that other stuff required?
  4. how long did it take between getting the nvc approved and the interview in Manila? I hopefully will get approved in a month or 2 (I applied for the cr1 in March 2022) and then can fill out the nvc. I am just trying to figure a timeline. I might try to fly my wife and son to Mexico for a month to be closer and then they can fly back to the Philippines before the interview assuming the interview is still like 6 months away.
  5. It is essentially a vote against the liberal party and the constitution which has been in place for 30 years which has not helped the average Filipino. is Marcos the answer? Probably not.... but I definitely understand why the people didn’t vote for Leni and all that she is associated with. the country has a lot of issues, and I think Duterte realized how deep it is entrenched. Changing things is not easy
  6. I applied for the I-130 online in March. It currently says my case is being reviewed. is the next step proving your income? When is the step where you show taxes and/or paycheck stub? Can anyone explain this step. Thanks!
