    Hello, I had a child in the USA and she was born in August of 2021. I am a United States Citizen, I got married to my husband in October and we adjusted status. He received his SSN in May and his greencard in June. The IRS removed our child tax credit of $3,600 due to my husband not having a social security number by April 15th, Has anyone else experienced this? When I called, the IRS said that both parents need a SSN or an ITIN to get the credit? Did the agent tell me incorrect information? The information I am reading online is conflicting.
