So Transglobal just picked up my boxes, hope they make it...

I never got any clear info from them.

I have two communications saying they would put the labels in the warehouse and two saying I should. To be safe I put the labels.

I also have a couple of communications saying there was no need to attach the packing list and one saying I had to attach 4 copies. To be safe I attached 4 copies.

They never told me I had to produce the customs declaration and if it wasnt for this thread I would not have known about it. Tge example that OP attached was extremely useful to fill it up. When I asked they said it should be fine if i put a forward date of entry in the customs declaration even if their instructions say the opposite, so I hope they clear. I will get back with any info.

Im sending 6 boxes, under 60kg total, insured to £2500 and I paid £230 so far. Its probably a bit more expensive than extra checked baggage but much less hassle than hauling 3 x20kg bags on my own while sorting covid tests at the airport.

We are using transglobal as well and exactly the same issue; they have not let us know anything at all about what is required for customs. Who did you end up sending all the customs forms to and when? Transglobal didn't know anything about them and just suggested we upload them in their portal. Is that what you did? Also, which customs declaration form did you use? The one in OP says expiration date was 2013.

    Thanks!

See this is strange to me as well. If people here are waiting from Feb, what are those 147 approvals? I imagine it's a similar number for May and June, but we don't have those stats. I doubt it's 147 expedites. I also doubt they would bypass Feb/March and process later DQs.

So something is happening, which is good, but who knows what exactly.

That was in April. They have declined to release the statistics for May and it's almost a month behind schedule. I doubt they have processed any except expedited cases in May or June, given that no one has had a non-expedited appointment on here or any FB groups since April. If anyone knows of mandamus lawsuits going on for CR1, please let me know. We are DQ 5 months now and I will pay whatever it takes to make this happen.

    Hi everyone,

    Wanted to update you all.

I have shared our story a couple of times but basically we were approved expedite by NVC one month ago after being DQ'd in February. They finally admitted to having a technical issue which resulted in our case not being transferred by the NVC to the Embassy but we finally have been able to schedule our interview today!!! Praise the Lord.

Interview is SO soon as we already completed the medical.

Appointment is next Tuesday, the 13th!!!

So thankful for this thread and for the support. Hoping you all still waiting won't be far behind.

    Congratulations!

If you don't mind me asking, what was the grounds for your expedite that finally got it approved?

    That's good news.

People should start hearing soon then I hope.

Were all working on the assumption that they release interview dates, in bulk, at a particular time of the month, but perhaps they don't do that any more. There's so few of us on this forum, it's hard to predict a pattern. It doesn't help that London doesn't publish estimated time frames like USCIS and NVC do.

You'd think with such a huge backlog there would be more fuss on Twitter/social media with posts from people waiting from January and February, but there's nothing much. (Are there hundreds of people waiting or thousands?)

So perhaps they ARE seeing people, and the few posters on here have just got caught up in the backlog.

It's hard to know for sure.

We will know that when the latest IV statistics come out, but it seems those are delayed as well with nothing since April.

It is hard to know, but I would note i haven't heard of any interview dates on either of the facebook groups either. So it really does seem London is at a complete standstill.

Hi all, just wanted to let you know that I recently received an interview date by the NVC. My case is a little different in that it was transferred from a different embassy and has been DQ'd since October 2020. So I think that recent DQers are just around the corner for London. It's really upsetting to read that people are in such a difficult situations with their families, but sometimes all the speculation isn't especially helpful - I hope that this news gives people some optimism.

Congrats on getting your interview date! Where did you transfer from? Moscow? Feel really sorry to what's happened to those waiting for interviews over there but glad to see at least someone has a date in London.

My guess is to try and contact who ever is in charge of this situation and see where it goes form there. I am sure that there is someone that can be reached out to about this. I am in the US and my wife is in the UK so I don't really know who to contact.

In my experience you will not get more than an automated message telling you they are working through a huge backlog and current restrictions are preventing them from holding interviews.

People are still waiting from February? Oh my... If February/March DQs don't get emails this week (middle of the month again), I'd be seriously worried

We'll see on Monday, but it's looking like the relaxation of back-to-work/social distancing restrictions won't happen on the 21st now. So at least another month of the embassy moving at snail pace. This is getting ridiculous now.

Can someone explain why a criminal court case can take place over video call but not a visa interview? Or why the doctor at the medical can check your vitals, but the embassy can't take your fingerprints? There's no backlog for medicals. I thought the law was 'work from home unless you can't.' Visa officers seemingly can't, so why are they still operating a skeleton staff 16 months on after the first outbreak?

USCIS is catching up. NVC timeframes are significantly shorter now. But the NVC won't send cases for interview because the Embassy can't do them.

Sorry to rant but it's terrible. This is a paid service by the way. They have a legal obligation to process visas as per U.S. law within a reasonable time. Like the person above says, it's the lack of communication that's the worst. At least with USCIS and NVC you have timeframes posted on their website.

    End of rant.

Agree with all of this. We are February DQ and it is looking increasingly likely that we will not get an interview date until restrictions relax. With the Delta variant stuff, I have little hope of this being this summer. We were really hoping to spend our 2 year anniversary together in August, now that hope is all but gone. Seems a bit counterintuitive that the President and other global leaders are traveling to the UK to meet without masks without a care in the world about the "delta" variant, but it's too dangerous to interview immediate family members who have been separated for years at this point?

Where is the talk of London doing a complete shutdown in August coming from and what would be the reason?

Speculation given what they did with NIV and the lack of new dates.

As a side note, we will be DQ for more than 120 days tomorrow. I have seen mention of needing to confirm with NVC that we are still in the queue in other consulate threads. Is this the case for us?

My longtime experience in this forum, of interviews done by the IV Unit is that on June 4 of any given year, there would be zero August interview dates posted by VJ members or open dates on the schedule. Pre-Covid shutdowns, at the end of a typical May, you would find June/July dates. By the last 3-4 days of June, you would see July/August dates. Those receiving dates assigned by NVC usually got about a months notice, during which time they arranged their medical exam.  I don’t think lack of August dates is unusual at this time. London IV Unit never booked that far out.

Right, my point was exactly that; if London was doing a "total" shutdown on August 1 the way Moscow has (obviously very different circumstances), then IV applicants wouldn't have any indication yet since there were no appointments scheduled past August 1 anyway, as is normal in June.

But as the other person said, we're all stressed out over these massive delays and second guessing; best to wait and see what unfolds over the next few weeks.

Why would they stop processing all visas? How could they do that? Isn't that what the Mandamus lawsuit is about?

Well it happened before with K1 and you are right, it necessitated the Mandamus lawsuit. I guess we usually think we are invincible as IR1/CR1 applicants, but I believe the same could happen to us.

Of course there would be Mandamus suits, but the K1 one was not cheap, it cost $2500/plantiff.

Immigrant and non-immigrant processing are completely different. One isn't related to the other so don't worry.

I would not say unrelated. It appears there are no IV interviews scheduled for August yet, so it makes sense that if London intends to completely stop processing all visas on August 1, then they would only be cancelling NIV. Sounds like folks here have only seen June and July interview availability as well, which matches up with the theory that all visa processing could be shutting down in August.

Yes, other embassies are far, far behind London.

Things are looking positive for restrictions being lifted on June 21, and I'm sure they will catch up after that date. A few people on Reddit have said they were DQ'd in March and have interviews later this month. (CR1 non-expedites). Perhaps they are not sending interviews in 'batches' once a month anymore and just sending out interview notifications as and when.

For those still waiting from February, surely you are next up. Hang in there.

Perhaps they will get to DQs in April/May in July, which is pretty good going all things considered.

Do you have a link to the March DQ redditors who got interview dates?  We are DQ Feb. 10 and nothing yet; would be a bit shocked to learn they're going out of order now.

So is there anything we can do in the meantime? DQ late February and absolutely nothing since. I know we're not the only ones in this situation but I was just wondering.

We are wondering the same. Have contacted the embassy but they were not helpful and just said our case is still at the NVC and there is a big backlog due to the pandemic. But how can they resolve the backlog with no interviews?  We will be four months since DQ next week with no end in sight, which is unheard of even during lockdowns.

I'm working on the premise that with the President in the UK in June then maybe he is visiting or there is some kind of heightened security so no June interviews.  So fingers crossed now for some news in June for July interview dates for people (hoping that Feb 23rd DQ might fall into that)!

I peeked at the K1 timelines and there are a bunch of June interviews so I don't think that could be it.
