i got this email from the embassy saying :

You submitted forms and supporting documents to the NVC in electronic form. You must present the original forms and documents for review by the consular officer during your interview.

does this mean i have to bring all my documents with me at the interview ?

or

at their site says that :

EACH applicant no matter their age must submit to the embassy two (2) weeks prior to the visa interview unless otherwise noted. Send your documents via express courier to the Consular Section, U.S. Embassy in Tirana

hello all.

I have to schedule an appointment online for my medical examination in albania .

Do you have to submit the  results exactly three weeks before the interview or the embassy accepts the results  even in two and a half weeks .

You should take originals of everything that’s been submitted to USCIS/NVC throughout the process.. with ref to US docs submitted eg sponsor ID, earnings etc, they will accept electronic documents printed.. it may also we worth while taking recent payslips of sponsor or a letter from their employer proving their income has not been negatively impacted from covid since it’s likely you submitted 2019 earnings not 2020

I just got my visa interview date for CR1 visa category .My sponsor and joint sponsor have filed I-864 but live in the US  and not in my country .Do I need a signed document and tax returns at the interview ?

Yoir previous posts also say you were DQed on September 24, not July. In any event, now that the embassy has opened they will work through the backlog starting with those who have been waiting since March/April when things started to close. You have a few months to wait, at least. If you have a valid reason for an expedite, go ahead and request it. But you won’t get one just because you are fed up of waiting. 

 

i was dq in 10 july 2020 ,sorry i had mistaken my dq date when i made that post .Thanks for giving information about the embassy.They have been issuing visas despite of what they say in the site but i know there is a backlog .We are waiting for interview

I found this list of valid reasons on a immigration site, and delay by NVC is on the list, however if the delay is related to Covid and not a processing delay, it's doubtful they'll approve it.

 

Reasons to request an Expedite:

1.  Health of the Petitioner (it must be a serious medical condition)
2. Having a psychological evaluation on trauma the beneficiary has experienced in their home country (such as sexual abuse)
3. Financial hardship
4. A child aging out (turning 21 years old) (note the Child Protection Act may protect the beneficiary from aging out)
5. Delay by the NVC
6. The beneficiary needing to care for the Petitioner due to a medical condition
7. Pregnancy of the beneficiary nearing term
8. Any other hardship factors.

I was documentarily qualified on 10 july 2020.My priority date is 10 july 2019,

.My question is can i expedite my case if the only reason being is delay by NVC ?

and if not how long is considered delay by NVC for expediting a case ?do they usually expedite for this reason?

U.S. Embassy Tirana is only processing visa applications from Albanian nationals or those who have an Albanian residence permit. Appointments made by third-country nationals who do not meet these requirements will be cancelled.

 

I’m assuming this means tourist/student/work visa applications from Albanian residents/nationals.

need to wait and be patient .Still hopping they will resume visa services in december .

do you have any updates on when the us embassy is reopening?I haven't seen any update on their page

they are not open til november 27 ,still need to see and hope to get an interview after this date .best of luck to you and let us know how it goes for you

let's hope once the embassy starts processing immigrant visas it is not going to take long for us to have the interview.I will let you know if i have any updates too .Good luck

The embassy are behind right now because the embassy was closed for so long; they are probably just starting again with interviews.  Nobody knows to be honest.

 

Edit: seems like they stopped processing  visas again. I do not know why

i can't fill my timeline since i dont remember the exact dates unfortunately but i know i was qualified in 24 of september .when were you qualified ?

i saw last night the latest update about embassy in albania and they have suspended everything til november 27 .It seems they are gonna work on visas end november .When do you think we are having our interviews ?

Hello .So i am  CR1 and wanted to ask you how long after you have been documentarily qualified is the interview for Albania? If there is anyone from albania or knows about this please let me know .

No. If you have the new passport by the time you interview you will give them the new one. If you still have the old one, the visa will be placed in that one. When you pick up your new passport ensure they don't invalidate/damage the visa and you will carry both passports with you to the US

 

(I was in a similar positions as you. I got a new passport after filling out the DS-260 and there was no issue)

I need your help in this .I am on CR1/IR1 visa process .My passport expires soon and i would like to renew it and my case is already documentarily qualified .Do i have to go through the whole nvc online process again after the interview since i will have a new passport ?
