  1. Thanks again. No I’m not a Nigerian citizen however I wanted to know about how to attain a citizenship. My husband and I thought that would be ideal from the beginning so there’s no immigration separating us in our marriage. Did you ever attempt this process? Which embassy or consulate were you dealing with? How did you get in contact with these people? I tried to email the lagos consulate because I can’t travel to Abuja and their email doesn’t work so now I want to set an appointment directly. And then I’ll just call every number on the website. There’sa link on the website to set an appointment but which method did you use for setting appointments like when you had to extend your visa and get a CRBA for your baby.
  2. Thank you for posting this value information. I expect to go through this process soon but my circumstance is that I am both the U.S Citizen and the wife/ one giving birth. I only have 4 years since being a legal adult, so I have my ID and driver’s license from August 2018. I read on the checklist that I can’t use school transcripts, So I really don’t know what else to use. But then again I got my U.S passport in 2020 and I was born in the U.S so I do not understand where they can make up that I was not physically present there for at least 5 years since there’s no way I could have left the country between birth and getting my passport in 2020. Feel free to give me any advice or comment. I also would like to know if you were staying with your wife in Nigeria and for how long before she gave birth? I do not want to be separated from my child during the process as my Nigerian visa expires November and I’m supposed to give birth next month. Do you think it’ll be easy for them to extend my visa considering that I just gave birth to a baby with a pending crba application? Short on money and I can’t travel in the interim. There’s really no rush anyway except that I want to re-enroll in school and that my visa is soon to expire. Just don’t want to travel without my baby.
