  1. Thanks all for valuable advices 😊 We sent the current one and we got the visa on it but i thought the expiration will be six months from the visa issuing date rather it is only 3 months so i wonder did they change it from 6 to 3?
  2. Hello, Finally after being refused in the initial interview we were instructed to send passports for visa issuance. As we have been going through this journey for almost 2.5 years my spouse passport has about 18 months remaining so i wonder is it a must to submit the exact same passport for visa issuance or we can renew the passport and submit the new one? I know that 18 months is enough but i guess we will need to renew it sooner or later so it will be easier to renew it prior to the visa issuance if possible. Thanks
  3. Yes it did thank you so much. I read in your previous post that you got a letter from your sponsers showing full support to you so i wonder if you can share the letter with me so i can send it to the joint sponsor to sign so i can add it to my evidence files hoping that it will help.
  4. That sounds promising. But if i may ask, in the letter you received from the consular was it including instructions on how to send your documents?
  5. I have planned a quick visit to travel to the states rent and get some evidence as they requested but i have 2 concerns i am not sure about them: Is there a minimum time to stay inside the states or it doesn't matter as long as i got what i needed and that in case visa was issued i will travel with my husband? Also renting now means paying rent while it might take a while before getting there so is renting a small apartment or a studio will be an issue or it is not a big deal?
  6. Is it normal when a case is refused for additional information requirement that the consular give back the passports?
  7. Congratulations! How long it took between sending the missing documents and receiving the email?
  8. I did what i was able to do such as: Openning discover bank account. Getting discover credit card. Transfered funds to the bank account. Using my credit card. Appling at university to join when i arrive. Prepared sharing apartment contract with my sister who is living in the states. The only thing I couldn't do is to travel to the states alone as i have 3 years old son which needs me around. This is the exact thing the consular asked me to so but i cannot deny that i am disappointed because i tried to explain my sitution but it didn't matter anyway. I hope so 😊
  9. Dear friends, I was just checking my spouse and my son's case status and found that my husband's case "Refused" while my son's case "Ready" and is written that he is awaiting for his interview. This is confusing because the consular requested additional information and has returned both passports to us so i thought both cases would be refused. Does any one understands why or if this is normal in similar cases.
  10. They requested additional information and it's IR1 and IR2 i guess
  11. The interview was yesterday and it took almost 25 months
  12. I wonder do they need the joint sponsor's spouse signature alone or both signatures at the same time? And what does MoH means? Thanks alot for your quote anyway ❤️
  13. Hi, After over 2 years of wait i went to the interview today with my spouse and 3 years old son, the consular gave us refusal letter asking for more information and including the below: -The consulate wrote a note "I-864A contract with MoH" and this is in the part of joint sponsor (Tax transcript) -Proof of domicile. I am living in Egypt since 25 years and i never visited the states since i was 8 years old. The joint sponsor is my sister's spouse. I would appreciate any advice Thanks
  14. Hi, Is there anything i should be aware of ahead of my immigration interview or what i should prepare myself for? And it will be at Cairo Egypt if that would make difference.
  15. Hi Everyone, Finally after 2 years of waiting i finally received the NVC email which contains the interview date & time. In the email there is hyperlink where i should go and check all required documents and staff prior to my spouse & Son's interview which is supposedly to be next January 30th 2023. The interview will take place in Cairo, Egypt and when going through the Pre-Interview detailed checklist https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/CRO-Cairo.html#pre_interview_checklist there is a sentence saying "For family-based visa applications:" and it is followed by instructions to bring Form I-864 Affidavit of Support, domicile status and evidence of relationship while it is clearly stated in the main instructions page https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-10-prepare-for-the-interview.html that "Every visa applicant, no matter their age, must bring certain documents to the interview, including photographs, and the original or certified copy version of all civil documents submitted to NVC. You do not need to bring your Affidavit of Support or financial evidence you submitted to NVC." So i am really confused whether if i should bring these staff or no ?!
