Badly wants Charles and Nessa's popcorn icon for this one

For a fiance, the best bet is travel insurance. Google it.
For a spouse, no SS# is required. All that is needed is name, DOB, and proof of marriage, and you only have the "life change grace period" to do it.

Your other choice is a visa specialist at the DOS visa center....202-663-1225

They transmit it electronically when they enter it, on the next day, then they send the hard copy to the embassy. there has been no change in how they process K cases.
-
We didnt, but I wish we had. Right now all of the rules are changing, but others here on VJ have filed the two piggyback to their I130 service center and have had success, and a quicker journey.
-
Ours were in Bahasa, and it would still be good, if the expense is not too much, to have one of the embassy's translators do a full translation and stamp them.

Nobody checks with other doctors.
Discussion of mental issues with the dr at your medical can be a cause of denial
Discussion of past drug use with the dr at your medical can be a cause of denail
With that said, wish you the best and happy new year

HI
You are going to need an EID/SS# before the DPS will issue a license
-
WOW
Are you stuck in CR1 filing now?
Did you clearly state with your I130 that you wanted a K3?
BTW I did 14 months in North Pole brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr (laughing)
-
My bad.
If SHE is the USC then all she needs to do is file in her married name and show her proof of marriage, much like a typical marriage here.

The NOA2 is needed for the interview?
After an embassy documents check where we were pronounced "good to go" without an NOA2 i find this rumor hard to accept?

Mags, actually it was me who suggested that a "he said she said" battle with immigration court might be a long, protracted waste of time. There is currently a 2-year wait on case reviews in immigration court and I was merely suggesting to the OP that it might be better to cut losses at this point then fight any support issues that may come up later. Otherwise, I didnt intend to muddy any issues and have sympathy for the OP
Regards,
David and Nitadyah
And I can't resist saying that DM is absolutely correct. We can't be certain the OP is even reading the thread at this point but the discussion is both civil, and on topic. We can't be certain that any OP of any thread is reading them, but we shouldn't assume they aren't or won't come back at some point to see if there is any advice worth taking. And at no point have I said that either of you have been uncivil.
He said, she said. I understand that there is validity in correcting misinformation in threads here and of course I'm all for it as a rule. But in this particular case it is taking over the whole thread and, if I was the OP, I'd be thoroughly confused by now. I can see this discussion going on until the cows come home and still achieving nothing.I'm going to ask that you both chill out and take a step away from this thread now. Thanks.
Mags,
In all due respect, I think this discussion is germane to the OP's questions. Pushbrk's words "he said, she said" relate to the USC and the alien's version of why the marriage ended...it is not a reference to what I have said and what he is saying.
To ask us to step away from this thread is wholly inappropriate, firstly and doing the OP a disservice as well. We are discussing the likelihood that anything the OP would report to USCIS would bring about results.
Actually, my useage of the terms "he said, she said" were in reference to you and Pushbrk and not Pushbrk's quote. I wholly understand WHY you are both discussing this and at no point have I mentioned that you were being rude or uncivil...because you weren't.
However, there comes a point when two people have completely taken over a thread and there is constant back and forthing - this gets confusing and can make it hard to weedle out any useable information. THAT'S why I posted what I did.
I actually value both of you here on VJ, you both provide a different aspect to VJ and are both informative, however I must just clarify that the reason I asked you both to take a breather is simply because it was taking over the thread - not due to any lack or civility or similar behaviour.
Perhaps, in the future, when quoting each other it might be best to remove all but the previous quote, this can makes things a bit clearer and can seem less cluttered when reading.

NO
USCIS has 48 hours to respond and report your exact status to a congressional inquiry. I would respectfully suggest that you insist that this be done.
SoCal you should be done by now. Your timeline and ours isn't very far apart.Have you tried a congressional inquiry?
Thanks for the reply. Yeah..I tried the congressional route. They asked me to wait 30 days after the 6 month date. I hope your words come true and we get approved soon. Waiting......

YES
my wifey turns hers around when she takes public transportation or is out and around the city. Turns it into a simple band.
-
We don't stay positive all day every day. The waiting is an up and down struggle, some good days and some bad, but always worth it. Going through this process tests the core of the relationship, in our case we made it and learned to above all talk and to be close from across the world from each other. Best to the two of you and happy new year.

Unless there is a past criminal record, past overstay issue, or any special complications related to your specific case, a laywer is a waste of time, and I have seen MANY times right here where a laywer has flugged up a perfectly straightforward case. This isn't all that difficult.
Wish you the best in your journey and welcome to VJ
Our case went very smoothly without a laywer.

(laughing) wow, I bullet-proofed (2) petitions then.
There aren't any specific written guidelines to answer your question. They ask for a specific list of things, then offer without really giving any information, a section on the I134 giving you a chance to show your assets without giving any feedback as to how they will be interpreted.
Guess you'll have to send in whatever you have and hope for the best.

um
Whats a 129K?

Married name, but she needs to have her name changed in her passport before her interview.

I currently fall under HOH status because of my children, not my spouse. I can most certainly can file head of household (keep my same filing status), as if my spouse had never arrived. (she won't by the end of today lol)
When I amend, then the additional tax that I paid by originally filing head of household only and claiming myself/2 children only will be returned to me at that time.
Or I choose to wait and file married and jointly and claim her income if I want to.
If you are saying that my spouse does not entitle me to HOH status you are correct. You CAN file under your current status however and amend if you choose.
Thanks for the very helpful informationDownfall is if you are self-employed and of course need all the taxbreaks possible, IRS explained to me that If my husband gets here before December 31 of this year I am required to file married which takes away my Head of Household tax break. Regardless, if you are supporting your wife/husband.
??
If you are married, you cannot file as head of household.
Besides the extra exemption from you spouse will give you more of a benefit than head of household would have offered.
