Hello guys, a few updates to share with you.
I had biometrics 7 days ago (02/10/2021). That same day, my status changed to Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken for both I-485 and I-765. The next day (02/11/2021) my status for I-485 changed again, this time for Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview. And yesterday (02/16/2021) my status changed to Interview Was Scheduled. So much movement in less than a week! I don't know my Interview Date yet, I will have to wait for the notice in the mail. Thus, my timeline is as follows:
Filed I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131, I-944.
Marriage Based.
- PD: 08/03/2020
- NOA1: 09/11/2020
- Service request about a notice I didn’t receive (biometrics): 11/12/2020 (never got a response)
- NOA2 (biometrics notice): 01/25/2021- Biometrics appointment: 02/10/2021
- Interview Scheduled: 02/16/2021
- Hialeah, FL Field Office per zip codeNo changes in the case status for I-130, and I-131 other than Case Was Received.
I-765 case status remains as Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken.
Congratulations! Your case is moving fast! I’m in Dallas and have been ready to be scheduled since 02/02/2021. Hoping I get my interview scheduled soon too! 🙌🏼

1 year.
Renewals (if needed) are free if full I-485 fee was paid. Must include a photocopy of the I-485 receipt notice as proof.
Thanks so much for the info!

For those that have received their EAD/Travel Doc? How long the EAD is good for? 1 year or 2?

I sent the I-944 with my packet. Glad you're getting movement on your case
Definitely! What supporting docs did you send. Working on it now but ahhh it’s a lot! Hoping to send by end of month. Thanks!

Any updates on your end? If I'm not mistaking, we are both DACA filers right?
Received RFIE for I-944 did you? Yes!

Did you file a I-944? If not then it would be that. If you just received the notification it is way too early to panic. Give it atleast 7 days. And then you can reach out to a tier 2 officer to resend it have the rfie emailed to you
Thank you for responding! I did not file the I-944. My husband and I both switched jobs, does anyone know if we need to provide the new info or from previous employer? Thanks!

Hey Everyone! I received a USCIS notification in my I-485. It says I was mailed a RFIE. Any idea of what it could be 😭 my mail has been getting lost so I will have to wait until I receive or request after 12/10!

I did not submit tax docs. Only IRS transcripts. And even then, I may have accidentally submitted the incorrect ones - my own, instead of my spouses (we file taxes jointly). It occurred to me I may have accidentally submitted the wrong transcripts a month after I sent the paperwork over because I was cleaning paperwork out. I need to really sit down and review the RFE though, since it was kind of lengthy and I skimmed over it briefly.
Ok I see. I submitted our tax docs but we file jointly as well so not sure how that will play out. No updates yet on my end.

I received an RFE asking for birth cert translated to English. Does anyone know if this needs to be notarized or have some sort of seal stating its done by a professional translator? They're also requesting additional tax/income documentation. I get 3 months to send everything in.
Do you have any updates on your end?
Hey! No updates for me yet. Good to hear they are actively reviewing your case. I sent my birth certificate translation by a friend who works as a paralegal no seal required just signs a document that she is fluent in Spanish Signed. I’ll let you know if I get anything back.
If you don’t mind sharing- did you initially submit any tax docs?
thanks!

Finally my MO has been cashed!!
Lawyer sent package: Sept 14th 2020
I can’t even say when it was delivered as I didn’t get the tracking from the lawyer.Figured the only way to track it was through the MO via Western Union automated call
Tracked it earlier in the day and it was pending being cashed.
Tried again this early morning and yippee!!
MO Cashed: Oct 5th 2020
Text notification: pending
NOA1: pending
Great news! Congrats

*Fingers crossed* that both of our cases move at the same rate. My local office is SF though, which seems to have a really long waiting time.
I didn't file AP. What is the purpose of AP? Is it so that you can travel outside of the country before I-130 and I-485 are approved?
Definitely!! I hear it’s a first come first serve basis but some require more investigation I think- so hoping not too long!
Although I filed myself, a friend lawyer told me it would be good to file for AP as well in the event I had to travel before the green card arrives. There is no cost to file if filing concurrently so I went ahead and applied. The EAD would arrive as a “combo” card if both are approved.

Congrats! Your case seems to be moving quick. Did you submit in August too? Ohh, is there a reason why you chose not to submit the I-693? Did you apply for AP?
I wonder why my I-485 status hasn't changed yet.
I think ours will move around the same rate.
I figured I could take it to the interview, but I hadn’t read it lasts 2 years now. I did, no changes on the AP yet. Did you? -

No Tracker shows case received/fingerprint fee received/fingerprints taken for I-765.
What about you? Any changes? Did you submit the I-693?
I actually got an email this morning. 2 actions taken. I-485 and I-765 had changed to “Case updated fingerprints taken”.
I did not submit the I-693 ;(

Hey! Sure. I received an NOA dated 9/17. It just says my previous biometrics have been applied to I-485 and I will not be refunded the biometrics fee. However, I don't see any changes online when I track my case numbers.
I’m on the same status. Just waiting for the next steps, my bio from Daca were also applied. Did you submit a I-693?

8/16 Mailed AOS via USPS
8/17 Tracking showed delivered to Chicago Lockbox
8/24 I-485 shows Fingerprint Fee Received
8/25 Checks cashed
8/26 NOA
8/26 I-765 shows Case Updated to Show Fingerprints Were Taken
I'm under DACA, so I'm assuming they used my biometrics from that. Also, my husband and I have been married for almost 3 years if that makes a difference. I also sent in medical eval with the packet, along with the new form proving self sufficiency.
Does anyone know what happens after this?
Hey Karen! Waiting game it looks like. Can you provide any updates? I filed a similar case this month and would love to follow along.
