We met our senior year of high school while she was an exchange student. We dated, she eventually had to leave, and we continued to travel and visit each other as often as we could. I joined the army, was stationed in Germany for three years, and we were only a couple hours drive from each other. So, we were able to continue with a normal relationship. We did seperate for one of those years while I was deployed to Iraq. Then, I was back to Germany for my last year. From there I was sent to Georgia and we stayed in touch via emails and phone calls. She flew over to vist me for a couple of months towards the end of 2006. I was preparing to leave on another deployment that December. Now, I'm deployed and preparing all the paperwork as best as I can. We've talked about everythingthere is to talk about and we're both excited as can be.....just a little worried about all the factors involved....this deployment, mailing issues, my redeployment time, and so on. In the end it'll work out and be well worth the trouble.
