Hi, does anyone here interviewed in Abu Dhabi last year 2022 who got 'Refused' status because of Administrative Processing and after 1 year, the status changed to 'Expiring Soon'.
I am really worried now because I have been waiting for any email instruction but I haven't received anything. I even tried to send an email to AD US embassy but only an auto-reply email has been received.
I am hoping that someone will advise me on what to do and share their experience. Really much appreciated.

I am DQ Nov 2020 but still waiting for IL can is there anyone having the same DQ date..???
I am DQ Oct 2020 EB3 and still waiting for IL. I am UAE resident Abu Dhabi based and Philippine national. It seems that getting an IL is not depends on being DQ. There are others that receiving interview date having DQ only last 2021 and yet they having interviewed. I did not also attempt to request for an expedite because fees were only paid on normal processing and the immigration lawyer also mentioned that they can't do anything because it is already in the NVC. The only thing to do is to wait for the IL. I also choose AUH embassy as my interview place as I thought that getting interview is faster because of less IV applicants that in my home country but it seems that a lot of different nationalities even not a UAE residents has been waiting to have an IL. Well, its nobody's control. I just lift up everything in God's/Allah's hands what will be my future and for my child.

They have processed some EB3 (EW) visas though through September. Total EB3 (EW) visas processed this year are 10. 4 in May, 2021 & 6 in September, 2021. Is anyone of those 6 part of this group? If so when was your DQ date and when did you receive your IL. Trying to get an estimate of waiting time !
I am category EW awaiting ID in AD Embassy, DQ since 2020. Still, the usual email received from NVC every 60-days.

They will update after 15th each months .may be tomorrow.
Still, the visa issuances are not yet updated as of today. So frustrating that we have no idea how many IV applicants has been interviewed in AD US Embassy. But, the backlog report has been updated l ast month, September.

I saw in my other group (FB - NVC-USEM Abu Dhabi Cases) that she is CR 1 category, DQ on 21/Apr 2021 received IL on 14/Sept and ID on 11/Oct.

Please see latest news on visa prioritization. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/immigrant-visa-prioritization.html.html
"The Department recently clarified guidance on emergency cases. Recognizing the emergence of the COVID Delta variant and the continued demand for healthcare professionals during the pandemic, U.S. embassies and consulates were instructed that they may prioritize as emergencies on a case-by-case basis the immigrant visa cases of certain healthcare professionals who will work at a facility engaged in pandemic response. Healthcare professionals who will work at a facility engaged in pandemic response and have an approved U.S. immigrant visa petition with a current priority date for an Immediate Relative, Family Preference, or Employment-Based Preference case may review the website of their nearest U.S. embassy or consulate for procedures to request an emergency visa appointment. If the case is being processed at the National Visa Center (NVC), the applicant may request expedited processing by emailing NVCExpedite@state.gov, including the case or receipt number on the subject line, along with at least one of the following: (1) petitioner’s name and date of birth, (2) beneficiary’s name and date of birth, and/or (3) invoice ID number. Applicants should be prepared to show that they will be employed in the healthcare industry at a U.S. facility engaged in pandemic response. Resource constraints and local government restrictions may limit the ability of some U.S. embassies and consulates to process emergency visas at this time."

got DQed on June 16th. I am EB1 too. I think family-based visas are prioritized. Are you still waiting?
No one really cannot tell when is the estimated time for waiting. I, myself was DQed (EB-3) since Oct 26, 2020 and received a standard email every 90-days (Mar & June 2021) saying 'that my case is still in NVC and awaiting for interview schedule...' Please see latest visa issuance in AUH during May.

Not yet, another email from NVC that your case for an immigrant visa is documentarily complete at the National Visa Center (NVC) and has been for at least 60 days. NVC has received all of the fees, forms and documents required prior to attending an immigrant visa interview. Your petition is awaiting an interview appointment. The next communication you receive from NVC will be either a notice that your appointment is scheduled, or if an appointment is not scheduled within the next 120 days, we will send a notice confirming that your case is still in line for an interview
Any idea about timeline for visa interview? As per latest immigration news, EB cases are Tier 4: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/immigrant-visa-prioritization.html. Priority are for the family applications. We hope that before the fiscal year ends which is on Sept 2021, we got our interview schedule.

Where do you find this overview of which visas have been processed each months? I've seen it shared before and it would be a good one to follow now that it feels like everything is standing still. Thanks!

Hmmm.. Her date might not be current. Anyway, let's wait. My case is EB. Your is EB too?
I am EB too but interview to be held in AD (since I'm here and got UAE residence visa). DQ in Oct 2020 received same letter that you have on 4-March 2021. Hoping that we received IL next instead of still waiting in line to be interviewed.

There is a new update from Embassy about immigrant visas. Looks like people from countries like Iran and Iraq are still having hard time to enter to country if not more other countries.
Now looks like everyone is prioritized, so backlog of banned categories will affect the process more and more. Lets hope the best but for IR1/CR1 it looks like a long wait will be there. Best luck to everyone!
The disruption to IV for Foreign Nationals seems a bit confusing. What if I have valid residence visa, a foreign national and I am here in UAE, how would the embassy know/validate that IV applicants has a valid visa? And, what about entry in Dubai? Dubai accepted visitors and if a visitor cross the border following safety protocols and proved that not infected with Covid. So frustrating

This month, anyhow, seems extraordinary rather than previous 2 months to be honest. Normally people would get their interview letters in the middle of the month (14-15-16th) and each month of interview was covering roughly 2-2.5 month of DQ dates.
This month only 2 people got their IL in the forum (Both are October DQs and one of them as I spoke with him expedited his case). These two IL came around 8-9th of the month. And we haven't hear anything during 14-15-16-17th for the ones whose DQ are November and December which should be interviewed in March as per previous months statistics.
I do not know exactly, but something is not in place. Additional note: AUH embassy stopped nonimmigrant visa issue except medical-humanitarian cases. It can be that Embassy will not work full capacity this month, it can be that their staff are using their annual leave, or it can even be covid measurements related. We just simply do not know what is inside the box and blindly guessing.
No matter what, this months ILs are extraordinary compared to previous two months', that is for sure.
Let's hope the best.
I was hoping that since they limited the nonimmigrant visas, they would've process more and more immigrant visas which they have very limited catagories already (IR1/CR1, EB3, K1,etc - Even no DV1). But that looks like this is not the case.
A side note, in general USCIS has approved almost 25% less cases in 4th quarter of FY 2020 (Which is July-August-September 2020). (144,000 worldwide approval compared to FY2020/1, FY2020/2 and FY2020/3 which were around190,000-200,000 approval). These 4th quarter approved cases mostly already got their DQ dates around August-September-October 2020 and had their interviews. I believe this less approval is a trend that continued at 1st Quarter of FY2021 (October-November-December 2020) as we can already see the affect on this on the VJ members. VJ members which got their NOA2 in these months are less than the previous quarters for sure.
So statistically, there are less people waiting for their interview, hence less workload for embassies, still there is not much IL issued this month. Just weird.
Also everything I wrote above are still so blindly guessed since we do not have information of the full picture. Just data of VJ members, their timeline etc is not enough to make concrete deductions. Still, while we are waiting, why not do some brainstrorm, right
I totally agree with your presumptions. In addition to that, I know some cases that were transferred to other consulates because their lose their jobs and went home for good in their home country. From NVC stage, they are still able to transfer their case to other consulates and it was granted. So meaning, we are becoming less waiting for our IL. Anyways, February is almost finish by next week. We are all hoping that they will start to send IL by March and noting that the travel ban/proclamation will end by 31st March. So, we are all anticipating interview schedule by April or this 2nd quarter (crossed-fingers).

I know there is a UAE whatsapp group; however I encourage everyone to use this forum to share information publicly and to receive many different feedback from different users with similar experience. And a public forum allows for fact checks so that you know you are getting the best answer from people all around the globe.
One great resource is https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xbLl_8yDgHLeDaLnTrPdYc44J0sjPSFfYCKxlKx6uTY/edit#gid=0
@dwheels76 created this spreadsheet to identify date complete (DQ) to interview. It would be nice if instead of doing a whatsapp chat search for individual dates, it could all be input here so that it is a simple filter search and available for all past, present and future users to see.
From the whatsapp group there were DQs of May 18 and May 20. That would be great to add to the sheet so we have more data points! Right now there are only 3 entries in for 2020. I know there are more DQs than that!
Is this only for K1, CR1 or IR1 type of visas? What about under EB category? Is there anyone waiting for interview schedule in US Embassy AUH under EB category? EB-3 to be specific.

Thank so much for this information! Do you know what types of jobs fall under the Unskilled/Other Workers category?
The type of jobs that falls under Unskilled/Other Workers category are health caregivers, hotel housekeeping cleaners, truck drivers, warehouse cleaners and other similar jobs (white collar jobs). Usually, locals are not interested to apply to these kind of jobs.
