If her medical was less than a year old when she applied for her AOS it should still be valid. If it was done more than a year prior to applying for the AOS then she will probably need to redo it. It is likely that if they needed her to do a new medical they would have sent a RFE requesting it. If you have not received an RFE for a medical, then I think you should be fine. thx for the quick reply..........we did the medical at the time of interview that is on sep 2007 ...............so it will be less than six month at the time of interview.............can somebody throw the light on this please

we have a interview schedule on MARCH 2008..............

i think by that time we will be able to gather all the necessary documents for interview..............if not we will try our best but right now i am not worried on that part.............

my question is about MEDICAL............

do my spouse have to do medical.............my understanding is as she came to UNITED STATES on K3 visa so at the time of interview for the visa she did all the medical requirement from the doctor recommended by the us embassy back there and submitted to us embassy.....................and us embassy gave her a yellow envelop with some of the stuff in it.................when she landed here in united states she gave that package to the immigration officer in the port of entry................ i think inside that package is her medical paper too..........with all the vaccination information that she had ...............

DOES SHE STILL NEED TO DO THE MEDICAL OUT HERE IN UNITED STATES.................i am confused..............if she needs the medical then why they didnot ask for the more evidence (RFE) before scheduling the AOS interview.............

will they ask for the medical at the time of interview.....................can somebody make me clear on this please...........

my wife interview is schedule for mar 27, 2008...............damnnnnnnnnnn thats really a amazing news for us :unsure: :dance:

never got a touch on I-485 but when i came back from outside today...................i got a mail from USCIS saying my interview is schedule.................

cant believe the truth.................damnnnnnnnnnnn...............

what are the thing do we have to carry on that particular day...........

my first GC on CR-1 visa took like 2-3 weeks, but she can go to US CIS.gov, schedule INFOPASS and get 1 year stamp, and also inquire about greencard,

also if they sent you Welcome to USA letter, then there is case number in the corner - you can check it online, may be GC is already mailed out

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you can go early

for us we were there one hour early and the thing is we dont have to wait for our turn to come..................they checked the passport and the letter and gave us the ticket number and we waited for almost like 30-45 minutes as some of the people were already there...............i think its better if you go early.................may be not too early but 1-2 hrs might be reasonable time............

I have a biometrics appointment tomorrow at @0900 AM. As far as i know i only have to take the appoinment letter and picture ID. Beside this do i need to take any thing with me.........any help will be greatly appreciated. What to expect during biometrics appointment.........how long it generally takes............tomorrow i have to be in the road by early as the drive is almost more than 2 hrs.........

i have a question on social security number. my wife came here on K-3 visa and we filed the AOS in the end of october 2007 and our interview for EAD is on 29th of November. My question here is When can she get the Social Security number. can we go now to apply?

can we get one after the approval of EAD?

or

do we have to wait till the completion of AOS process>
