You definitely gave me more info than USCIS ever did.
-
I believe USCIS are just hiring people to fill in positions. I called twice today and spoke to 2 separate Customer Service reps. I know more information than the Reps. Very frustrating. After the last Customer Service rep read the list of question from a computer prompt, and took my receipt numbers, I had to tell him that my petitions were in California, and that yes you need two petitions for a K-3. I mean unbelievable. I finally had to tell them at the end of the conversation, that it was not comforting for people who have been waiting 6months to a year for their love one, for the Reps to say things like " I don't know." and read back to me the same things I'm looking at right on line with my computer.

I think if they told us how the process works in CSC, and gave us a little more information about our petitions being reviewed when we called, that would help for the waiting. But leaving us in the dark without knowing, why, when and what....thats the frustrating part. All of us put our lives on hold.

USCIS touched my petitions, 10/30 and 10/31. I hoping the approvals are coming.

Congratulations for all those approved.

Fantastic... Congratulations.
-
Congratulations for all those who have just been approved. The rest of us should be coming.

I was told the same as C and J. Although I've sent my petition in on 4/9/07, it took USCIS a month to open and input my data, so the date USCIS uses is 5/9/07.

I'm with you Gogo, this process is ridiculous and frustrating.

Congratulations Urge, and Hum Tum

I don't know what USCIS is doing. I've made several calls these last two months and not once have my petitions been touched.

I think our petitions are probably with the same agent,... The real slow one.

Honey, My wife and I have never been married, and we both do not have kids. I believe our petitions were pretty straight forward, and I received no RFE. Yet we are still waiting. Did you hear from USCIS that your previous marriage and the name change was the reason for your delay..

This should be our week for the rest of us who are waiting.

Hello, I have a website here. I hope this may help. http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html.

Besides myself, how many April filers are left waiting to be approved? I have no idea as to how CSC are processing petitions.
C and J , many congratulations..
Maybe G & A's chart could be of some assistance in figuring out how many K3s are left to be approved.
I am not sure CSC has an idea on how they are processing petitions. I think my hypothesis is close to reality on each ajudicator is like a cashier and it depends upon which checkout line your petition is in.
Edp333,
I think you are right. Depends on who is reviewing the petition. Good luck next week for those of us who have yet to be approved. And those of you that have been approved, please keep posting and sharing the info as you go on to the next step.

Sorry for my last post. But what I was saying is, why not give people proper information when they call, that way if people need to send RFEs they can start the process of sending the data.

Hello everyone, l just want to give you some updates.
Two days ago, our lawyer sent USCIS a request service order which means they will pull my file and find out what is going on with my case. Then my husband called again to USCIS and they told him that they had spoken with the lawyer and that we should hear from them in a couple of days.
Wish me good luck.
Hi Faith11,
I wish you luck - our timelines seem to be very similar .. hope we get approved soon.
Good luck!!
Thanks,
Good luck for you too, and the rest still waiting.
I wish you the best Faith.. Its sad that we have to go through all this, just to get some answers. That way if people need to send RFE's, we

Hi GoGo,
I know its frustrating, and just like you said, you are not in this alone. The fact that no one at USCIS can give you any reasons as to why our petitions are taking so long makes the waiting worst. If your anything like me, I can't even rest fully until my wife is here with me. Hang in there, and we will bring all of our love ones soon. Try and stay positive, (very difficult,) for fellow VJers, for your wife, and most importantly for your own peace of mind.

Honey,
I agree one word per day.. Talking with friends and family who have never gone through this process, cannot believe how long and frustrating a time we are having. But saying this we have to remain positive or it will eat us up inside. Some days I am border line crazy, especially after speaking with my wife. USCIS, whatever you all are doing, please hurry up.

I have just called USCIS, and the customer service agent, who was very nice, told me it actually took USCIS almost a month to open and input my I130 petition. So although we are all April filers, USCIS is using the May "received" date, which gives them until November. My issues are these, are they going to wait until the last possible date to approve my petitions? , and why are they approving K-1's faster than K-3's, when we all filed and paid extra for faster processing. The agent could not answer my questions... I have heard nothing from USCIS concerning my petitions, the agent said that was a good thing, meaning they do not need additional information. My guess is as good as you alls in regard to how USCIS are approving petitions.
still nothing for April filers??

I received my RFE on November 9th asking for more pictures of my wife because the two photos I sent of her were to BIG. Until this RFE was sent to me, I heard nothing from USCIS, only that my I129F had been transfered back in June. So it took USCIS 7 months to let me know my photos were too big. I have mailed my new photos in which the California office has received on November 14th. I called to ask how long the photos would take to be recognized with my petitions, and USCIS told me to call 2 TO 3 WEEKS LATER. I have written my governor, senator, and 2 congressman, and a State Rep. I received an email back from the governors office saying that this issue was a federal issue to contact my congressman. I received a call back from one congressman's office, and they said my case was still within USCIS time frame. The others I have received a typical form letter stating the got my email. I had to stop looking on VJ because I was getting way to upset knowing others had received their RFE several months ago. And I also have a friend who filed only the I130, after I filed both of my petitions, needed RFE, and his 1 petition is at the NVC already. The frustration sets in because I feel helpless, and I can only hope that they approve our petitions soon.
