Yes we never got package 3. I called the consulate and they said just to bring the forms in at the time of interview. Also I was told they now use a courier service to deliver the passports after the Visa has been approved. I believe you will have to pay for this as well. I was also told that if you stay in Rio it should be delivered to you within a couple days.

I called the NVC for my case number , which will start with the consulate your love one will interview with. In our case it is Rio de Janeiro, so it was RDJ2007****. The NVC phone# 603-334-0700. Once I had this number I emailed the Consulate at immigrationrio@state.gov . The Consulate did respond in 2 days and give us our interview date.

You should be right behind us. I called NVC, they gave me the case number. In about a week I wrote the consulate in Rio. The consulate wrote me back in about 2 days and said they had just mailed a confirmation letter to my wife. And the web link to the consulate, and department state for the forms. The consulate never sent us a packet 3 to schedule the interview, they gave us one first. (Very good)

My wife and I have received our case number and interview date for February 19th. I received this information from a email from the consulate in Rio. The email also states that the consulate has mailed my wife a confirmation letter. Can someone tell me what happens next.?

If the RFE concerns both petitions, then both petitions will be held. In my case it was the size of my wife's photos for both petitions, so both were held. The good part for me was , once I gave them the proper photos, my petitions were approved within a week or two. But its very frustrating to call and have USCIS and have them tell you that you must wait for the RFE in the mail. USCIS usually gives you somewhere around 6 weeks to return RFE.

If you felt that strong to make a post about your ill feelings with your wife, I think you should take a couple more trips to see your wife, before you bring her to the US to live with you, the results could be devastating. Really find out if you two are together for the right reasons. In a relationship people should want to be together by choice, not what someone can do for them. I wish you the best of luck.

I really hope. I'm would really like My Honey and Gogo and the rest who have been waiting so long to get their approvals. For all those who are still waiting, believe me when I tell you I was the king of frustration, and thinking I was not going to be approved until this January or February. Just know it will happen and hang in there..

About the long wait, and the RFE for the size of my pics, and contacting my senators office, I've finally been approved. Once I mailed my RFE, the approval came about a week after.

Yes my pictures were 3 by 2 1/2 and not , 2 by 2. That was my only RFE. I still have a hard time trying to understand keeping families apart for something like this.
