Hello all,
My wife's Green Card interview is scheduled for next month. She was a K-1 Fiancé who entered the U.S. in March 2020 and we were married on May 05, 2020. We then filed her I-485 on May 12th 2020, so its been just over a year since we filed for her GC. Our Immigration Attorney is strongly advising that my wife have another physical done (I-693) before the interview next month to keep the interviewer happy. However when I read through the FAQ's for the I-693 form, it specifically states that for a K-1, another medical before a GC interview is only required when it was more than a year between her required K-1 oversees medical (which was done December 24th 2019) and the actual filing of the I-485 GC application, which as I said was filed May 12th 2020, only 5 months later. Any opinions or guidance on whether or not a new medical is a good idea? It wasn't our fault that it took the USCIS over a year from the I-485 filing to the GC interview. Thanks in advance.
Is another medical required for Green Card interview?

Thank you for all responses to my question.
I sent our Immigration Attorney a link to the I-693 FAQ's that I mentioned. About three hours later she responded by email and said that I was correct and that an additional physical was not needed after all. She did not thank me for catching her mistake or offer any kind of apology.
