Your never totally ok, it's a constant battle and only external observation can determine how well someone is.

Take it from someone who has dealt with schizophrenia, there will come a day when they are not ok. When it comes it will be really painful but if you prepare property it will make a huge difference. Learn as much as you can about the condition and those supporting people with the condition and then learn some more.

I don''t say this to affect your relationship. I say this because if someone had said this to me I would have been in a better place to provide support for my partner when that time came

To be honest I was scared when he told me his condition, I made a research about his health issues and i’ve learned that he needs attention and care. Yes there were times that it’s hard to dealt with him because of how sensitive he is but I Truly understand him, i really need advice about this matter coz i keep thinking about our relationship.

One thing to keep in mind for the future for both of your sakes is to ensure that you have the proper power of attorney established prior to and in case he requires hospitalization. Also if he is hospitalized, he will be unable to enter into certain legal contracts should they specify that he be under sound mind and body until he is released.

Thank you but he is totally ok

Do you realize that you still will be required to meet in person before he can petition you?

Yes we are aware of it, we are just waiting for the travel to be lifted.

I assume "he" is the USC.

No, this will have no effect.   The USCs medical condition is not evaluated

    Thank you

  4. Good day everyone I have a fiancee and we’ve been talking for about 5 months now,  we have concern about his condition. He is a veteran and diagnosed with mental illness and schizophrenia. He opened to me everything about his conditions and accepted it. As we get to know him I could say that it’s way too far from what his condition in fact he’s a smart guy. The question is can we be denied in the petition if ever he apply for the k1 because of his condition? Thank you all.

    It shouldn't especially in Manila

They are very relaxed and don't seem to care about previous applications or approvals.  Easy embassy to deal with

Someone told me that if USCIS approved the case and gave me an Alien number in my Noa 2, that Alien number would be my reference in the future meaning I will use the same Alien number even The petitioner is different, is this true?

Your thinking is incorrect.  More than likely the CO will not mention anything about the previous approved petition during the interview in Manila.

Do you have any first hand knowledge on the situation? How can you say "you will not doubt be quizzed"

Hi thanks for the response I truly appreciate it.
Does it mean that mt previous k1 petition will not affect my new k1 visa application?

You have followed the normal protocol to cancel your earlier visa application. You shouldn't have a concern. Like @Sparkle Sparkle commented you may be asked for further details at your interview. Answer the question truthfully but keep your answer short and to the point. You don't want to give the CO more information to which to interrogate you on. Take a deep breath and you'll be fine.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

    Thanks

Thank you for the information this is a big help for me

If you qualify for another petition and it's approved by USCIS it all looks good on paper...but you will no doubt be quizzed about your previously approved petition. It all depends on the VO's thought process after looking at your paper work..it gets worse if you are from a high fraud country...that's what I think.

Thank you so much. I just don’t want to get in trouble in the future.

  9. 2 years ago my ex fiancé filed a k1 visa but when the case has been approved we broke up. We were all set like I already had schedule for my medical and interview but since we broke up it didn’t go through. I asked my ex to send a letter to USCIS for cancellation which he actually did. The question is does my previous k1 visa will affect my future k1 visa application? Hoping someone can help me. Thanks
