  1. It looks like a tricky question to me. My USC husband already filed his tax return. I also filed mine but in Brazil.

The question is if you OR your household member file a federal tax, in both itens A and B. So should I fill it with my name and tick no for me (even the question asking about "you OR your household member") and then fill with his name and tick yes for him?

I feel so stupid asking this, because it looks simple, but I'm afraid of missing something.

How long did it take you to get a response to your letters?  Thanks!

I sent a letter do Experian last week and got a response yesterday. They said they were unable to locate my credit information because either I didn't provide sufficient identification information for then to verify my identity, or I haven't established a credit history. And if I would like then to recheck my records, I can send some information such as full name, SSN, address for the past two years, date of birth... but I sent all of this in the first letter. So I'm gonna attached this letter to my process.

Anyway, I'm still waiting for an answer of Equifax and TransUnion, while I'm collecting more evidences for my process.

    Nothing so far.

It's the same here. I sent a letter to Equifax and to Experian last week, but I didn't get any document yet.

I sent a message to TransUnion profile on Facebook asking about the letter, and they replied to me:

Thank you for messaging the social care team at TransUnion. I sincerely apologize for the delay in response. Due to the recent increase in volume, we are working diligently to reach back out to you during this unprecedented time. Let’s get you the assistance you need!

I'm happy to have a letter sent indicating that you do not have a US TransUnion credit report! To allow me to start the process, please supply the information requested in the link provided below. Once received, I'll search for your credit report. If there is no report returned, a letter will be mailed to the address you provide.

I filled out their form with the same content of the sample letter on Friday. Let's see what happens.

What are you adjusting status from (fill out your timeline)? You are probably not exempt.

I'm filling out based on married to US citizen. You're right, I'm not exempt, and I'm going to fill out the I-944.

The confusing part is that when I say NO, the question says: "Proceed to Item Number 62.a", and there's the question is: "I am EXEMPT from filing Form I-864 because:". And if you say YES to exemption, it asks you to skip the REASON why you are exempt.

I just don't understand what to do in those boxes.

  5. Hello! I am filling out Form-485 and the question 61 asks: "Are you exempt from the public charge ground of inadmissibility?"

It then states "To determine if you are exempt from the public charge ground of inadmissibility, and therefore exempt from filing Form I-944, read the Form I-485 Instructions, What Evidence Must You Submit, Item Number 9. Public Charge: Declaration of Self-Sufficiency (Form I-944) and Affidavit of Support Under Section 213A of the INA (Form I-864). If you answered “Yes” to Item Number 61., proceed to Item Number 63.a. If you answered “No,” complete Form I-944 and include it with your Form I-485 filing, and proceed to Item Number 62.a."

It's confusing because if I say NO (I have to prove that I am not exempt by filling out the I-944 and submitting it with my application), it asks me to go to Item Number 62.a, which are options to chose for why I AM EXEMPT.

    Am I missing something?

  6. I also filled out the Form I-130 online and paid the fee on May 31. I sent the whole package with all the other forms in the day after, June 1. Two weeks later they sent me back the package with all the forms and documents... because I didn't know about the I-944 and the I-485 was outdated (even the expiration date was 2021). 🤦‍♀️ They also refused the I-765 because it expired on May 31 and I mailed the day after, but until now they didn't update a new form, so I'm waiting.

Now I'm collecting all the evidences for I-944, I will fill out again the I-485 and I-765, and then send them back.

This is what I sent to Experian along with a copy of the Passport and Marriage certificate (for name change proof). About 4 days later, Experian mailed a letter saying they could not locate a credit file.

    Hello,

Just as I am doing the final check on forms, I noticed that the form has expiration date of 05/31/2020. I do not see any other form with prolonged date on the site.

Can anyone help me find the right form please?

    Thank you

I've been having the same problem. I sent the package on June 1st and they returned me everything because some forms were outdate, including I-765. So I don't know what to do, because they already rejected this form after one day of its expiration, and they still don't replace a new one.
