Just curious...I don't have a any friends here and when my finace` gets approve (staying positive and optimistic) he won't have any either, and I thought it would be great to have some buddies that went through or that will be going through the same things we did...and we would already have something in common ;-).

  7. Hello guys, I am so nervous and just needed some support...my fiance` interview is Wednesday and I am so sick. Guys I just pray that everything goes okay and that we will be together finally. I guess the reason why I am so nervous is there are hardly anyone from my country that experienced the process of K-1 visas....I am just asking for everyone's prayers and support, thanks!

    Hi friends!

I am trying to open new thread for approved March filers and the time it take them to be forward to NVC. We have not yet checked if our papers are received by NVC because it is too early. I am so angry to see that the waiting begin again. It is not fair. USCIS is mocking with us :crying: :crying: :crying:

  12. Thanks for all the responses...I hadn't eaten all day because I was so stressed about this but now I at least feel better that I might have a chance.

Yes I have worked with this agency for this year and before this have had a permanent job for 5 years with the same company I am a contractor at right now.....I just left to spend time with my fiance` in his country and was displaced. Any tax return that they need (i.e. 2006, 2005, 2004....) are all way over the poverty line and like I stated I have at least 40-50k in equity in my house, plus savings and life insurance. So I guess those will also qualify me....once again thanks!

    Hello to all

My fiance` just received his packet 3 in his country and I am preparing my information so when my packet comes I will be ready.

Question for the letter (affidavit of support) has anyone ever had a temp job and placed that on the letter and got approved?

I know that is important whether you are perm or temp, and I am afraid we will get declined because of it..... :help:

Oh yea...my income is tripple the poverty line and we have money in an account and I have a house and life insurance. Will they consider all of these things?

First, as I understand the interview of the i-134 is usually less strict than the i-184 (completed during AOS).

You need your 2006 tax return for sure.

Have you worked for one agency mostly this year? If so, you could include a recent paystub with year to date amounts -- you may have already passed 125% of the poverty line this year.

You only need other assets if you do not qualify on income alone. If your 2006 tax return is strong, you should be fine.

  13. Anybody? :(

  16. Hello to all, I have a some questions.

I have been reading numerous postings and am still unclear, my package has left NVC on August 13, 2007 to go to the Bahamas...is there anything I can do until me and my fiance` receive the package? I saw that some people fill it out before they get it in the mail. Just to confirm as well we both will get a package with info to complete...right? Also is there any other fees that I have to include with these forms? :help:

Sorry I guess I am starting to panic because I want everything perfect so that we can get approved and he can be here.

  17. more than 500 Days ago and we are still waiting for NOA2,My Fiance Called uscis yesterday and they told her:that maybe can take 5 or 6 years :crying::protest: .please who heard of a story like this?how that can happen?some they get the visa after 5 months and some after 5 years!!!is that right???

All I can say is that I will pray for you, I feel awful that you have been waiting this long....but you are saying that you never received anything that would cause this delay? What have you been doing in the mean time....I mean with your relationship?

  18. Just received a letter today (dated August 2nd) from NVC saying they "recently" received our I-129 and that "within a week" it would be forwarded to Montreal... now our real wait time starts...Montreal's current timeline for interviews after receiving Packet 3...5 to 7 months!!!

good luck to everyone waiting for their interviews!

At least your's got to the NVC, I am still waiting and my case was approved on July 17, 2007. I can check to see how long it takes for my Embassy to process the visa under Embassy Info?

  19. I have a little question, I am looking at the I-134 form and I am going to tell my manager to get a letter ready, but the only thing I am worried about is the fact that I am a contractor or temporary and it wants you to list specifically if you are permanent or temporary, do you think this will hurt me?

Ok let me give you a brief background on this....I worked for this company that I am currently working at for 5 years, but I left to go and be with my fiancée in the Bahamas for 2 months then I came back the USA to get sworn in to become a citizen in January and I stayed in the USA. So when I tried to come back into my job there was nothing available permanent so I went to a Temp agency that ironically had a position with the company I worked with before I left but it was a temporary position. Now I hope that gives you a better idea.... :help: !!!

    Thanks!!

  21. Hey CONGRATS, I told you I was praying for you, well we are in the same boat (NVC) I was going to give it until tomorrow and start calling to see if my info is there yet.

My I-129F was recently approved so now I'm just waiting the couple of weeks or so for it to arrive at the NVC.

Just curious if during this wait will I get any more emails from USCIS telling me it's been shipped?

Can I sign up at the NVC to receive notices like we did at the USCIS?

Or is this part of the journey where I just a sit back and wait for a regular snail mail notification?

I've read the flowcharts so I'm fairly familiar just wondering about the little parts that are not mentioned. hehe.

Thanks in advance for any insights.

    :):):):):):):)

  22. Hope everyone is having a great day, I am leaving to see my finacee` tomorrow and the best gift I can give him would be to tell him we just received the email stating he was approved . I just got the email and I am crying, I know this is still the beginning but I am happy to be moving a little forward. Pushing for him to be here by September or at least by December .

Thanks everyone and I will continue to post my progress.

  23. You need to wait until your case file has left the NVC and sent to the embassy in your fiance's country. If you are going to visit him, you should get your financial support documents prepared and bring them with you. I believe you need a I-134 and it should be notarized.

Check the time lines under your embassy to get an idea about how long to process through them. It seems that the USCIS is still working pretty slow about sending files to NVC, but once there, the process speeds up usually.

September might be accomplished, but December is very likely to far away. You might be married by then.

The next fees would be for AOS (Adjustment of Status) which can't occur until after you are married. You could also be looking for EAD and AP (Employment Authorization Doc. & Advanced Parole) but that can be a decision you both should make later.

Thanks so much for that information.

I have another little question, I am looking at the I-134 form and I am going to tell my manager to get a letter ready, but the only thing I am worried about is the fact that I am temporary and it wants you to list specifically if you are permanent or temporary, do you think this will hurt me?

Ok let me give you a brief background on this....I worked for this company that I am currently working at for 5 years, but I left to go and be with my fiancée` in the Bahamas for 2 months then I came back the USA to get sworn in to become a citizen in January and I stayed in the USA. So when I tried to come back into my job there was nothing available permanent so I went to a Temp agency that ironically had a position with the company I worked with before I left but it was temporary position. Now I hope that gives you a better idea, maybe I need to call USCIS and see what they tell me.

  24. Hope everyone is having a great day, I am leaving to see my finacee` tomorrow and the best gift I can give him would be to tell him we just received the email stating he was approved  . I just got the email and I am :crying: , I know this is still the beginning but I am happy to be moving a little forward. Pushing for him to be here by September or at least by December  .

Thanks everyone and I will continue to post my progress.

Well I noticed your timeline and it is similiar to mine also you had a touch today....maybe they are processing you as well. I checked the site at like 9 this morning and got the email 2 hours later...so I am praying for you that you get approved today as well ;-)

I like the way you pray haha.

    wioombeen

Question, what's next? Is there anything that I need to be doing or any other applications I need to complete and send in before the fee increase :-( or is it now the waiting game part 2?
