I have a one more question regarding part5 of household size for joint sponsor i864. This is for item4 or item 6 , I don't know which one should I go for. Here is the story to understand:   The joint sponsor sponsored his family in 2015 include his spouse and 2 children under 21 at that time and he had a joint sponsor who helped him at that time. now, every one in his home like spouse and his 2 children has green card and they are above 21. Both children filed their own taxes and they are not claimed on their father tax returns. father file his tax as a married status.  Do u think I should put number 2 in item4 or number 2 in item 6 of part 5 of  i864 of my joint sponsor i864  . I hope u would understand my question.

thanks for responding .  can I print those pages that need to be sign and date and some of them , need manual typing and then scanned them and merge to the i864, this way the file is only 400kb , without loosing quality. And if i  print whole i864 and sign and date and then scanned at ppi 200 , the quality is  poor to read.

plse advice , if I ONLY print those pages that need manual signature and some of the info that need to be inserted manually  as it didn't typed on the computer. ...

Is there any one out there to respond this general question. I print i864 and  then sign and date it, after  scanning it . the file size is 8mb. I tried to reduce the the pdf file using scanner an reducing ppi ( pixel per inch) and it lose the quality( file size 400kb) now.

can I only print  a single page of signature and date it and then scan it back and merge into the i864 located on the computer.  The pdf file size is 600kb  now without loosing quality. is it acceptable.  my question is that can I print few pages that needs hand written typing and signature page and scan it back into the computer . And then merge it into the remains file i864 on the pc.

The instruction pafe for i864 , part 5,  item 4,  says list number of unmarried children under 21 even if you do not have legal custody of these children.  THEN it says , you may exclude any unmarried children under 21 if these children have reached majority under the law of their place of domicile and you do not claim them on ur tax returns. 

I don't claim my child and she is 19 yr old , living abroad , child attained majority age of 18 in place of their domicile. 

Moreover, I filed 2 separate i30 one for spouse and for my step child. 

What would u say .. the household size will be 2 in spouse i864 and 3 in step child i864 . 

Or 3 in each of i864..   Plse answer if someone know

The most recent updated version of i864 on the uscis website , part5, item 2 contained number 1 already. Thats ok , I tried typing item 1 with number 1 but it didn't allow me and item 8 , contained number 1 already, I couldn't able to change it with 2. 

since I am filing this i864 for my spouse and I am the petitioner. I understand that household size will be 2 here  . I have no other dependents claimed on the tax return. And I understand that household size will be 3 on my stepchild i864 one, child is 19yr old and both beneficiaries living abroad.

can I make 2 of 1 in item 8 with bulk pen. what should I do...

Hi...folks out there..

what should I do if I can't type few enteries on the i864 form using computer . There are few entries already filled on USCIS form on their website which is weird, like  form  i864 , part 5 regarding household size , the last entry has 1 in it. I  can't override it since its inactive. should I print is as such and then use white out to change the size number.  Any suggestion that can be acceptable..with NVC..

some folks posted here that override should be avoided. what should I do then ?

Can anyone out there to help with this question. On the DS 260 (filing for step child ,in this case), they ask " list your biological parents or adopted ? I filed for my step child , the child is 19yr . what should be the answer. should I give Child's biological parents info or my info as a step father of the child.

One more thing , scanning  documents and uploading it with NVC , CEAC.  

Do i need ONE file for i864  ALONG with all supporting docs. OR one file for i864 and another file for supporting documents.  

What about D OB, marriage cert, divorce cert etc will be a separate file for each of them when uploading with NVC.

Do i need colored scanned copies or black n white ok.

I am a petitioner and I filled i864 myself as a sponsor for my beneficiaries ( spouse and step child) . I understand that i have to sign and date as a sponsor .

Thanks for replying.   If i send most recent Tax return transcript , in place of complete copy of tax return , should i send w2 and 1099 along with it  too. Or just transcript is enough for both joint sponsor and petitioner i864 for the most recent tax

I have 3 recent pay stub for i864A who is a employee but i864 joint sponsor is self employed , a truck driver . Is it ok to send 3 pay stub for household . Since I am sending tax return for the most recent year and with w2 for household  and 1099 for joint sponsor .

I am as a petitioner , sending  tax return without 1099 is ok or should I include 1099. I earned computer repairing some amount and I scheduled c for it only.

Thanks for responding .Well I gone through 10 times for i864 instructions . What I learned so far , i864 -from  petitioner side filed for spouse , will have  household size of 2 and for stepchild i864 will have 3. Assuming I have no dependents I claimed on my tax return and no dependent children since  my stepchild is 19yr and attained a age of maturity of place of her domicile not claimed on my tax return too. So the household size number will 2 for i864 from petitioner side for spouse and 3 on i864 from petitioner side for step child.

Now, stuck with i864..joint sponsor and i864A where it says indicate number.

I understand that there will be a household size of 3 on both i864 from joint sponsor ,one for spouse and one for child. What about indicate number on both the i864A for child and spouse.

Will be 1 on each i864A.

See, if u can help with above asked questions...

Will appreciate ur help since i can't afford expensive attroney. Out there , i got my NVC 2 and half month now ...

Thanks for your replies to some of my questions .Please help with few of the question I stuck with . What will be the household size on both i864- joint sponsor ,one  for spouse and one for step child ( both are beneficiaries and separate i130 filed for them from me as a petitioner and filed separate i864 from petitioner side for both the beneficiaries)

Joint sponsor filed as married on their  tax return 2019 and there is no other dependent children or other dependent people on their recent tax return .

1.  So i hope there will be household size of 3 on each of this 2 , i864s from the joint sponsor side ? I need a help with this ..

2. Also , what  does it mean on each i864A , part-5 where it says " Indicate number"  should i put 1 here  and give details of the principal immigrant  in part 5, item 1.a   to     item 5    and leave everything after  it blank. 

3. Also in Part 6 , on i864A   where it says " indicate number" again , would be 1 . Since joint sponsor has to file 2 separate i864 one each for spouse and one for a step child. so I hope " indicate number" would be 1 here too . .....plse correct me.

4. Similarly,  on 2nd i864A same "indicate number" column will be 1 and intending immigrant in part5 ,  item 1.a to item5  will be now my child info. .
