    Q1 - I believe they communicate via e-mail. Most embassies directly communicate with the beneficiary with an email.
    Q2 - Referring to the PDF the status check on CEAC does not require an invoice number to receive your updated status.
    Q3 - There is no other way to get your invoice number but to call.
    Q4 - You will deal directly with the embassy moving forward. NVC instructions are for "immigrant" visa's like a CR-1.
