  1. Hi,

Due to Covid and airport closure overseas my elderly parent spent more than 1year out of the US this year. In the naturalization eligibility chart he is not eligible to get the citizenship . I was wondering if there are any exceptions for such situations when the applicant is elderly and there is verifiable info / severe conditions that prevented his adherence to the rule. Please advise. Thanks in advance!!

Your physical address is where you physically live. As a permanent resident of the United States your physical address should be in the US. Your mailing address is simply an address where you want your mail to be delivered to, specifically by the US Postal service. Could be the same as your physical address.

Thanks for your explanation. I really appreciate it!

  3. Hi,

I am a permanent resident filling up the affidavit for my son with Ceac NVC.

He is not married over 21 and I got to the section asking about  Sponsor’s Physical Address. In the instructions it said “ Provide the physical address where you (the sponsor) live, if

    different from your mailing address.
    Item Number 5.“

I am not sure exactly what is the intention behind this question. Is this question specific in time ? Does it mean  where is my physical location currently or they are looking to the residence address where I live while in the US?

I am asking since I am overseas on a visit to my native country Lebanon where I maintain another house . I go there annually and I been here since July last year . Couldn't go back to the US due to the revolution that occurred and the COVID / right After forcing lockdown and airport .closure
not sure how to answer this . Please help & I greatly appreciate it! Happy Memorial Day Everyone.
