  1. To God be the glory. I received my permanent residence card last week Tuesday. It took me a while to process the reality that after almost 7 years of waiting, I finally received my green card. 2. Thank you. I just got off the phone with an agent and was told the same thing. Which is that if I want to schedule an Infopass, I will have to wait for a call within 30 days or write to the Vermont office. Hopefully they call me soonest. So what’s the key word that will make them schedule an infopass? Any leads will be helpful.. Will USCIS take into account that I have been on this since Aug. 2018…The thing is I just want to be sure they received my medicals because I don’t really trust my lawyer. They don’t know the pain we go through and really don’t care.. all they are about is money. When this process is finally over, I will write on lessons learned.
  3. How did you schedule an infopass. The automated assistant doesn’t help matters. Kindly share how you did it successfully. Thank you.
  4. Hello beautiful people, I got an Rfe in May for medicals. Did the medicals really fast and gave the report to my lawyer who practically dragged her feet to send it. My lawyer sent the medical Rfe by mail 3 weeks ago and I am yet to receive a notice that they received it. Is this typical or should I be worried? It was sent to the local office in NYC office. I have been on this since 2018. Is anyone in this situation? Should I schedule an info pass? Kindly share your experience or advice.
  5. Thank you @balo101 for the quick response. Yes, VAWA has been approved. C31 expired in February 22, 2023. I am planning on renewing the C09 EAD. My lawyer did not pay for I-485. When I renewed my EAD CO9, I paid for it. So can I use a fee waiver for the renewal and on what grounds. Kindly list the documents I need to submit for renewal and the USCIS office address for the document submittal. Thank you.
  6. Kindly tell me what you submitted for the renewal of your EAD. Did you make payment? I got a waiver when I first filed for VAWA but had to pay $410 for the renewal. Kindly advise if I have to pay for renewal.
  7. Thank you @balo101. Do you know how much it cost? Does it make sense to renew it? I still have a valid C09 that expires in September.
  8. Greetings to all. How much is the renewal for EAD C(31). I want to renew and saw on the USCIS website that there’s no fee attached. What documents do I need to attach when renewing?
  9. @Demise, The thing is that I never received an approval notice. I received the C31 EAD in February and nothing since then. I requested for my congressman’s assistance since July, but it just fell on deaf ears. I will give it another try. Many thanks.
  10. Thanks @balo101I never received an approval notice. The online status shows that card has been delivered. There has been no updates since then. I have a valid C09 card that expires in September 2023, but was think of renewing the C31, and having that as well.
  11. Hi @sandranj, @TBoneTX, @Demise or anyone that can offer some advice. Congratulations on all approvals. I-130/I-485 - filed March 2017 AOS interview - Jan 2018 I-360 and I-485 - August 2018(Filed concurrently) I-130 - Approved (March 2020) I-360 - Jan 2021 Rfe received I-360 - Feb 2022 New card in production(c31) No movement till date. I am a 2018 filer. I filed using my lawyer’s office address in NYC, but i live in NJ. At the time, I had a pending I-130, I-485, but she still went ahead and filed a new I-485 along with the I-360. I have since lost confidence in my lawyer as she charged me to renew my EAD(c9) category when it is free, and her lackadaisical attitude towards my case. Now i am planning on continuing this journey myself. I received my C31 EAD card in February 2022, and haven’t gotten an approval letter ever since. I haven’t heard anything from USCIS regarding my I-485. Couple of questions I need answered : 1. is it normal to receive the C31 EAD card without an approval letter? 2. If no, what is the timeline to receive an approval letter? 3. Can someone assist me with the steps to renew my C31 card? 4. Do I have to pay for renewal of the C31 EAD card? 5. I live in NJ and my letters go to my lawyer in NYC, which Senator/Congressman should I contact for assistance, NYC or NJ? 6. What steps can I take to disengage my lawyer. 7. Will changing my address to NJ from NYC delay my case? I have a lot of questions, but will be glad if someone/people with knowledge can help with answers. Many thanks.
