  1. Hi guys, I have an interview coming up, I have a question when we submit documents during interview does the embassy officer ask for additional documents or directly sends 221 g if something is off. my birth certificate is from a state which only offers online copy so in short I dont have “original” birth certificate, I did get online copy notarized from country I was born in. My question is should I submit online version and notarized copy together or should I wait for them to request notarized copy if needed. For affidavit of support documents Also should I only provide them with tax transcript for last year and provide paystubs only if they request or should I give everything together even if they dont ask? I am a little nervous for interview sorry if my questions sound naive. kind regards
  2. Congratulations, I was DQed 14th feb, no update yet, but hopefully soon!
  3. Hello Folks, Hello We got Dq recently. My spouse is sponsoring me. He started working in US 3 months before submitting documents to NVC. We attached employment letter and recent paystubs. By working 3 months he met the minimum income requirement but in tax returns for past 2 years he does not meet the requirement.(Annual income is six figures). We thought since he is now making good income is US this would be sufficient but we received following message from NVC: "This case does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor may be submitted. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p." I am not sure why this happened. I plan on taking tax return from 2022 to prove that he meets income requirement but I am a bit nervous about this. Any inputs are most welcome on how we can increase our chances of getting approved. Should I also submit a copy of tax return that my spouse will be submitting? Will this change DQ status or put us back in the queue for interview. Thanks in advance!
  4. To give more details, Spouse's annual income is $150k+ so it is not borderline.

Hello I have been DQed but my citizenship changed after getting DQed hence my previous passport is no longer uploaded and I would be presenting new passport with changed nationality at the interview. I am a bit nervous about this, any inputs from similar scenario are most welcome. If I upload new passport , would it alter my DQ status are put me back in the queue of interview line? Kind Regards.
